I'm having a load of problems with creepy ghost minecarts, apparently if you boost a minecart then send it out into a unloaded chunk, they start randomly appearing on your rails, and vanishing when they crash into you or you look away from them.

Someone make a diamond sun and ironbar moon mod.

If there is any less than one full block of space between you and a creeper it will start its fizzing. If you get three blocks away before it explodes (you have 1.5 seconds to do this) it will cool down and come after you again. If you don't make it out of that range, well, I hope you enjoyed your face while it was still recognizable.
