Its basically transplanting the original textures isnt it?
Kinda, but the mobs are different.
Inacio that bitch made me post this for him :black101:
Could you ask Inacio to add this into his OP? It'll help some server owners a bit and doesn't seem to have been added in this one yet.
1.) You'll need the Minecraft.jar from here: http://www.minecraft.net/download/minecraft_server.jar?v=1285895699863
2.) Place that in the same folder as your server.
3.) Then make a file named somthing like server.bat (name does not matter, just needs the .bat extension.)
4.) Within that file you need to write the following
java -Xms1024M -Xmx3072M -jar minecraft_server.jar
5.) Then place that file within your server folder as well and run it AFTER you start the server.
[editline]06:17PM[/editline]
That should hopefully help you.
:\
People might not have 3GB of ram to dedicate to the server. That is the average person who wants to run a server.

Yeah, I found "java -Xms1024M -Xmx3072M -jar minecraft_server.jar" a bit unhelpful, bit of googling solved the problem.

A minecraft server barely uses over 70-90mb, let alone 1GB.

I personally found it quite useful. It solved all my issues with people trying and failing to connect or discoing.

Well, Inacio could include instructions on how to modify the number for your computer. -Xmx is the max RAM it's supposed to give the server. Even using this batch file though it still won't go above what you already have in your computer. And it seems more like this just lets the server use more RAM than trying to make it use 3GB. Before I used the file it was constantly at 40MB but afterwards it was averaging 10-15MB per player.

I meant in terms of instructions of how to use it, not how it helps.

Oh. Well to be honest there don't actually seem to be good instructions on the commands. At least not that I've found. We're just going on what someone told us should help with server stability and disconnecting issues from last thread and it seems to have helped.
Gentlemen, I'm here for a few minutes.
I'd like you dudes to tell me what you think is crucial to have on the OP, to make new people feel comfortable and regulars know where to look for the stuff they need the most. I want to keep it as clean as possible and avoid the clusterfuck the current OP is.
This is how the links section is looking like currently.

Murphy's law and minecraft don't mix

Bow and arrow is probably easier if you can get one. Other than that the best weapons are swords and lava.
Last thread someone posted Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater:
[IMG_thumb]http://media.egotvonline.com/files/2009/12/frank-lloyd-wright.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
I was going to wait for the trees to grow to make it closer to the original but I couldn't be bothered:

You know when you hear about a building collapsing or something for some dumb error you would never think people would be stupid enough to make? Somehow I managed to make the entire bottom floor one block too low :suicide:

What do you mean?
What do you mean?
Minecraft is kinda like playing like a cave man. So he wanted to make wheels. And it made me think of that.

Well if you can make picks, axes and spades in mine craft you might as well be able to make a wheel.
