there's something i've always wanted to see: tf2 on goldsrc. essentially a hybrid between tfc and tf2.
it would have all of tf2's gameplay mechanics present back in 2007. maps like 2fort and granary would essentially be the same, but under half-life's engine. basically keeping the art style, but making it even more retro.
here's my idea
it's like a cross between age of chivalry and team fortress 2. It's called clowns Vs. knights. well, not neceserily clowns but circus performers. Like on the circus team, there'd be a knife thrower, a ringmaster who can use his whip, a tamer who summons animals, a clown who throws pies that stun people and heal teammates, shoots acid out of a bowtie on his shirt, slaps people, and use his rubber nose like a grenade that can also stick to people, a clown buggy that runs over people acrobats that can jump over castle walls, etc.
the knights side has all the stereotypical stuff knights have, such as archers, swordsman, clerics, that kind of stuff.
game mode would be your standard stuff, like capture the flag, team deathmatch, king of the hill,seige/defend the castle, that kind of stuff
the maps would be like, big, epic ones, like this one map would be like this huge castle with all these booby traps you had to go through to get to the top, this other map would be like in this huge forest next to a castle, and one team is running uphill, and the other team is running downhill, and there would be stuff to hide behind to make an ambush.
what do you think, can't you just picture it?

So its just your basic game with classes and each class has its own ability?
So its just your basic game with classes and each class has its own ability?
i forgot to add one thing; it would also have hilarious gibbage. think like the flash game 'happy wheels' and that's the kind of gory gibbage i mean. yeah, it's kind of like a standard online class-based game, but with the cartoony violence of tf2 mixed with the gritty kind of style in pvkii
a mod where all players are crows and one is a scarecrow and if the scarecrow catches the crow the crow is fucked but then if the crow can manage to hit the scarecrow in the back X times then the crows win and then it randomly picks another player to be the scarecrow.
it would be called "half-life 3"
[editline]22nd April 2011[/editline]
oh and the crows don't fly that would be really overpowered, they are just crows on the hl2 skeleton (it would look funny as fuck) and the scarecrow can be a mattress with a skin or that horrible cheap citizen model (it's so terrible people use it as a scarecrow). what would really count is the gameplay and not the visuals, who gives a fuck about the visuals.
a game where you play as a japanese fish vendor and your life is a misery up until the very last level where a tsunami washes out everybody else but you recieve like a fuckton of fish
A portal mod called Aperture Diversion [sp](no fucking sense)[/sp]
Main Story:
You play as a woman called Michele, in a very upgraded Aperture Sci Facility (probably after Portal 2). There is a female voice, named Natalia (code name ARMADA, still no sense). You do testing, just like in Portal 1, except the later test chambers (11-#) will be broken and you will have to play Portal 2 styled chambers (with early looking Funnels, Gels and shit) . Then, you will find out that the main protagonist is bat-shit insane and you will have to find a way to destroy her system.
Characters:
Michele - Main Protagonist, the woman you play. Has long brunette hair. She can speak in some times.
Natalia - Main Antagonist, the women who takes the place as GLaDOS. Has long blonde hair and curses. Natalia is actually a real women, she just has her own system, so she can control the place.
Marc - A male co-op character. Has the looks of a human, but he is a robot with aqua eyes. He is short. Marc also likes Ashley.
Ashley - A female co-op character. Has the looks of a human, but she is a robot with yellow eyes. She is tall. Ashley dislikes Marc, but she can still hug him (Portal 2)
Weapons:
Portal Device - obviously
Stun Stick - To break some parts
Interesting Stuff:
Sprinting - When running, it lowers the device, so you can't use it, and has motion blur!
Cinematics - For the lulz.
Dynamic Water - For teh beauty.
It would be nice if it was released in episodes. The 1st one should be called The Triumph .
sounds do-able
apart from maybe the water
I want a game where you play as the terrorist (no, not counter-strike). At least there is some good and original storytelling that could be extracted from it. while making the Americans look evil or some shit.
in all seriousness I've started working on a portal 1 mod which is just new levels and shit
I like horror games. I like playing them at midnight only to play them for like an hour because I'm too scared to continue. One thing I've always wanted to see is a multiplayer game where one player controls the events that happen in the game, much like the Afraid of Monsters server in Sven Coop (link).
I imagine that the player would be able to control sounds, spawn monsters, close/open doors, turn on/off lights, as well as jump around the level and teleport people. The link above is honestly the best example I can show you.
Maps would have to be very large (maybe even consisting of two or three levels) to actually give the scare-er a chance to get around and get set up. Players would be given an objective (chosen by the mapper himself/herself) and the scare-er would do their best in attempt to make players piss their pants.
The scare-er would have a small variety of stock sounds to choose from, like moans, screams, and stingers. They would be able to walk around the level as a person (much like in the video link posted) or fly around invisibly so they can easily enter rooms and such with players in them to mess with entities inside.
I'm not sure how the scare-er would be chosen, randomly seems like the best choice but on a server change it could be possible that the person gets chosen twice in a row, which wouldn't be very fun
Yes, I really hope something like this gets made.
You are the raw materials used to make a plane. You were made in a government lab to be used for warfare, to be able to bend and for-see damage incoming on your plane, but the government scrapped the project and left you in a junk yard. A big name airline coporation comes to your junk-yard looking for airplane parts, and picks up you to use you in an airplane. With years of anger and grudges, you will be able to control your sentient airplane-self to destroy various parts of the air-plane, and cause it to crash into a million different things, with realistic destruction and euphoria. Coupled with your time-paradox friend dave, who was also made in the same government experiment you were, you may relive and replay the fateful day when this newly constructed airliner decides to take a route all of it's own.
I.E you are various parts of a plane and you can manipulate yourself to cause the plane to crash spectacularly
I want a game based on portal, but with the paint gun from TAG - Power of Paint.
Featuring the Aperture Science Modular Liquid Distribution Rifle!
The primary fire sprays gel, secondary cycles to modes. The modes are-
Repulsion Gel - The blue gel from portal 2. Allows you to jump higher then normal, or bounce off of walls.
Propulsion Gel - The orange gel from portal 2. Allows you to accelerate to great speeds.
Adhesion Gel - A new, green gel. Allows you to stick to walls/ceilings/floors by crouching. When you stop crouching, you fall off.
Erosion Gel - Also known as "water". Washes off the other gels.
The idea is that you have to solve test using the gels. I'll try to get an example together.

Okay, let's get some visual aids.
Below is our test chamber and test subject. Let's call him Brock. HE IS ABSOLUTLEY NOT, BY ANY MEANS, BASED ON A CHARACTER TRADEMARKED BY CAPCOM™

Now, Brock's first instinct, like any example, is to run at the goal like a madman.

Now the same test, except Brock now has a Aperture Science Modular Liquid Distribution Rifle!

After painting the landscape that is his chamber with the easel that is his ASMLDR, Brock has conquered this test!

Any questions?

It sounds like a good concept, i hope valve releases the portal 2 source code or some advanced modder can make this possible
A online horror zombie survival mod.
A lot of people have always tried to do this, but the main issue are maps and the NPC's/players.
Think Left 4 dead with scarcer guns/bigger, bigger maps (big enough to be free-roam-able)
Another issue with mods or games similar to this is the amount of NPCS you are up against, its either a lot constantly or very few.
Again, a slower paced, free-roam style left 4 dead type of gameplay.
Shit idea, I know.
but I am still waiting for a game that is online that can actually perfect a zombie horror formula.
(in my opinion valve failed with L4D)
I might try that, but what would we call it?

So pretty much just power of paint yeah?
you start out in a room with no textures nad theres this door. when you try to open it it says "feed me a 71 digit code in alphabetical order going by the names of the numbers. then shift the numbers to the left and bam you can open the door" so then you have to find the numbers mason. and when you find the numbers you have to order them alphabetically then shift the numbers to the left and bam you can open the door.

cryengine pls
Skate 3 + GTA IV. Literally just mash the two games together, bugs and all.
"Nico, my brother, kickflip into these loan sharks."
Also Tony Hawk is in there somewhere. He's a bitch and you have to fight him like a bitch, it's a bitch fight.
On a serious note (okay I do seriously want to see a Skate 3/GTA IV mash-up but that's not the point), I've always adored detailed artwork in 2D platformers and Point & Click adventure games, but the background imagery has only ever been there to "look pretty". I'd love to see an action/adventure platformer where you can actually interact with the scenery in a big way — to the point of being able to use the stage environment against enemies.
And no goddamned ice levels.
My idea is pretty much like Army Guys RTS mixed with Battlefield. That's pretty much it.
