You know, I just realized some irony with the Green Hill music for classic Sonic - they've got modern drum beats with the original 16-bit song tracks. Which is far better and the complete opposite of what they did for Sonic 4 (original 16-bit drum beats with really abrasive synth). Generations probably isn't meant to replace Sonic 4, but i'll be damned if it doesn't look far more appealing than 4 ever did.
I never said trhowing classic levels was bad, I'm saying that just doing that instead of making a real effort sucks. I know why they made two play styles, but I'm pretty sure they are going to be two shitty-made ones, they should do just one. More doesn't mean better.
You do realize that both the Classic and Modern versions of each level are not the exact same level. The Green Hill Zone shown in the gameplay video isn't the same as the Sonic 1 level, it's mostly the same theme with the same kind of gameplay - Sonic Unleashed Day Levels and Sonic 1/2/3 platforming.
I tried Unleashed and I though the whole game sucked, I did not enjoy the day levels. Haven't tried Colors yet, but everyone says that is cool so no problem with that, It may be an exception.
What was wrong with Unleashed?
And for me the graphics look bad, they are going for the easy way: making 3D models. And this is my main problem, 2D gampeplay with 3D models just looks bad in this game. You know what, I was thinking... I may just dislike Sonic games. They are doing an "ok" job with this game, but I still think they can do better.
How in the name of fuck is making 3D Models any easier than 2D sprites? Both the modern and classic levels look like quite a bit of fun, so yeah, you probably just don't like Sonic games at all.
