I had this game a while back, Got to 15 stopped and deleted the game cause "lol wow is bettar" But now that i no longer have wow. I think i will join up again and make a character on Reni for that Facepunch guild.
Grinding is so annoying as Knight. It takes 10 seconds to kill a creep, and before you can use a nuke you have to use a spell three times. I have the feeling I would get more XP/gold if I could find some bosses to kill.
I made a chacter on Reni called ohHi (game changed it to Ohhi :/ ) It's 11Warrior/8Knight lol

RoM is actually more intensive than WoW, because it's a newer game it runs on a newer and better looking engine.

Why this is the best f2p mmo right now? You can buy diamonds with ingame money, that means you don't need to spend real money. Sure you will need a lot of ingame money, but at least you don't pay real one.
I'd pay anyway, there's some good stuff.
Also, does anyone know why cave is censored in the chat? I mean it could be translated as an innuendo, but far from it

This game has potential, but I ran into some problems that made me quit.
First of all, the game is barely playable on my sorry ass system, with everything turned off in graphic settings. By the time I reached Varanas, I couldn't play at all. However, I heard of people with quad cores and lots of RAM who had laggy experiences. I would expect a WoW-like game (not quite a clone) to be a little bit more optimized. The engine might be newer than WoW, but the looks are not that different; and WotLK runs smoothly on the same ancient configuration.
Second, I know it's F2P, but Frogster insists on making your life hell if you don't cough up money. The inventory has only two tabs if you don't pay, and considering only the high number of items in-game, buying more inventory space is a must. However, if I remember correctly, there is no way of permanently unlocking all 7 inventory tabs. One has to buy some amount of diamonds each month; along with the bought diamonds, one receives a number of rubies, that can be used to unlock all inventory tabs for some period of time. The game indirectly forces you to pay a regular fee just to have inventory space. Don't even start me on the Arcane Transmutor.
Thirdly, I really hate the gathering and crafting system in RoM. There are countless types of resources, and gathering them is a time sink. Refining doesn't last as long, but requires huge amounts of gathered mats, and crafting can eat in minutes what you gathered in a couple of hours. Too much work for my taste. I understand why "RoM gold" sites spam the chat like hell.
Also, when a level 8 boss has ~23k HP, and killing it requires a full party of level 20 characters at least, you know you have a balance problem. A level 8 character has HP in the hundreds.
However, that's just me. I'm sure others enjoy the game and Frogster considers it a success. It's a decent F2P game that could benefit some more love from the developers.

The main city runs awful, even worse with ~30 players on screen. But it's fine in 40 people raid in dungeons.

Never had a real need for more than two spaces. Level 25. Items don't drop that often, and if they do, most of them aren't worth picking anyway. But sure, they need money to support the servers, hence free.

My fps is fine, it just freeze spikes so much.
My understanding is that the client polls the server for textures many times a second, instead of polling it for NPC positions and other events only, hence the spikes in crowded areas. Design issue.
Yes, I know the AH can make you rich, very rich, but I still find gathering and crafting to be extremely tedious.
