Why does the client for this game keep trying to update? It's stuck at 2.1.5.2010 and it keeps trying to update but no progress is made.
It doesn't let me play the game either.

The thing I loved about WoW and that I'm looking for in any MMO I prospect now is grouping content. End-game content. [b]Raids.[/b]
How are the raids in RoM? Anything bigger than 12 people? Do the raids at least work well, and is there good gear incentive? I'm presuming they're story-driven due to the theme and trailers for them.

They're pretty good, actually. Although they're not very big as far as I've experienced them, but I'm just level 18, so I can't say too much about it, because I've just done my first raid yesterday. And yes, they are story driven. You can also net some sweet loot with it.

I'm on the Artemis server. I like crowds. I wasn't sure if the FP group on Reni was still active.
Artemis has been having trouble with zones. People are getting pissed because they can't get into their houses to water their plants (the horror), so the server is down right now for maintenance. Hopefully they'll fix the problem.

Yeah, the group on Reni kinda disbanded once September rolled around. We were really active up until that point. It might be wise to make a toon on Reni, you don't need to level it, just make one and keep it around, maybe play it occasionally. I'm not sure, but I have a hunch everyone will return this summer when everyone has free time.
I tried to keep active into October and part of November, but I'm not gonna lie; playing alone is fucking boring, especially late game. Finding groups to raid with is hard when you're not in their guild, but I didn't want to leave the FP guild just so I could find group mates. I'm kinda just waiting for everyone to start playing again.

Yeah, raids are great in RoM. Most raids are formed just for the purpose of gear runs (usually unique armor sets). They start at around level 18/20 and then they are around consistently after that point.
The zone problem is fixed as far as I'm concerned on Artemis.
I haven't played since about a month or two after the Elf characters were released, but I'm thinking about playing again. What should I expect besides massive updates?

I learned that joining a populated PVE server (I abandoned my PvP character) increases the game's fun ten-fold.
If anyone is still playing the American version, I'm re-downloading right now and I'll be on Reni tonight. I have lots of in-game cash, perm mount and all that jazz.

I have been looking for this song ever since I heard it in some random flash game two years ago. Monsters' Den, I think. That's where I first heard it, and holy FUCK does hearing it again give me such nostalgia.
You're exactly right, this is easily the top F2P MMO out there. This was basically the end of MMOs for me. Once I played this, but got bored of it, I realized it was the end of the line. I stopped enjoying Runes of fucking Magic? I might as well give up on this genre, because RoM is as good as it gets.

RoM isn't nearly as boring as WoW
if you find a group of players that will actually play its fun. the fp guild I started didnt work out but I'm considering playing again this summer
That's the thing, I'd gladly play it if the Facepunch Guild is still active but otherwise I hate choosing guilds. The big ones are either exclusive or too big where it doesn't feel like a good community, and the small ones are usually far too small.
I've played it until I got my rogue/hunter on lvl 30 or such. It was kinda enjoyable, but I got pissed of the fugly interface(I know that you can mod it, I just cba). Then again, WHY do programmers think people like "asian" mmorpgs? WHY?! Just take a look at the male hairstyles, either they are some dragonballz super sayajin shit or look like some asian emos.
If it ever turns into something "normal", I'd play again. Also, fun thing is, the studio of the german team is placed in my town.
I wish they would add enough quests to level both classes, they make you rely on daily quests. At level 57, there isn't even enough quests to level to 58 on one of your classes.
I'll give the game another try right now. Too bad it'll take some time to download, around 7GB at a speed of 700KB/s.
