It's pretty cool but if you have anything resembling an idea of what to do you can essentially reach the absolute endgame in under four hours. Hell, I was surviving in hell less than two hours of gameplay into a new character, mining hellstone and killing bone worms (and, yes, dying) Basically: - Rush silver or iron armor depending on how much silver you can find - Kill every skeleton you see and pray to God/Odinn/Buddha for a hook - Dig shafts from cave to cave and explore them a bit - Don't be scared of dying for that life crystal/chest - Do eater of worlds ASAP and make a nightmare pick - Dig from a major water body to your caves - Shaft it to hell, jump in, face imps, dig hellstone+obsidian look you just finished the game in seven steps one of which is more or less optional MORE EDIT: Excluding logical steps (it's logical to exclude logical things) YET MORE GODDAMN EDIT: also hellforge that part is often actually pretty hard i guess i got really lucky with mine

how do you make nightmare stuff again, after gold stuff?

Would it be possible to change how long items stay on the ground for? I can't help but think that all the items that get left and not picked up, add to the servers load, especially on servers with high monster spawn rates.

Get gold, mine meteor, then what. you dont have to go to hell, you dont have to fight bosses and you dont have to have nightmare gear. There is a difference between not going through the game and going through it quickly. I went to hell my first time still wearing that silver armor and using a nightmare pick, and I managed to get a hellforge and some hellstone - it's not hard. Hell's not even challenging, I've found that if I don't hit imps bone worms don't spawn and imps can be kept at bay VERY easily. And that's in [b]silver armor[/b]. If those people seriously got molten gear legitimately while being so bad at the game that hell is still scary, then they sure as shit won't give a shit that I call them a cheater, considering they obviously didn't give a shit about constant death in hell to make it scary. WAIT A SECOND "You don't have to go to hell" You're telling me that those people I'm talking about who are in gear [b]from hell[/b] didn't have to go to hell to get it?
