Wow I feel so lucky. My first world sucked because everything was sand and about 30 feet from spawn on the east and west was corruption. I found 5 stars in one night there though. I made a new world, and 5 feet away from spawn was a demon alter, and 5 more feet away from that demon altar was another demon altar. There's iron and copper everywhere this is awesome.

So is there any way to monster-proof my mine or do I have to just block it off with a door and leave at night?

The bone worms are far more annoying than fire imps, even with full molten armor they still do nearly 28 or 30 damage per hit.

I think you can use the axe on glass. Or hammer. I use a hamaxe so I don't really know anymore.

Terraria is officially the second game that has me addicted (first game was Fable for the Xbox; 12+ hours in a day the FIRST day I got it). I got it about three days ago and I clocked in about 30 hours. Although it took me a bit to get adjusted (lots of different worlds, characters, etc), I eventually finalized on a nice medium world that's pretty much my home now. This game exceeded my expectations and then some. I can't wait to see what they are going to do with the future of this game. :3: This was my character on the first day I started my world (yesterday.) Unfortunately, while I have a nurse and etc this is the first screenshot of the new world, so... I got a metric ton of spare items (3 extra Muramasas + Cobalt Shields, 2 clouds in a bottle, extra horse shoe, list goes on and on) but I feel like I'd be ruining it by actually giving these to people since 90% of the content in this game is finding these items and feeling like a bawss having them. Let one person go down at a time, reset it after they die. Repeat for a couple years until someone wins.
