Is there an XP system in this game?

Oh god damn it. When I try booting terraria on steam it just shows "installing .net framework" for a couple seconds then a "installing" window pops up for half a second before dissapering along with the launch window and nothing happens. :saddowns:

Please help me with this, I keep getting a SocketException whenever I want to join ANY server. "Tried to connect to a Socket on a way the security did not allow it". I already tried disabling my firewalls, didn't work. It's with every server I try to join.

I soloed Skeletron with a Phoenix Blaster. Shit was cash, but it made me realize I'm more or less at endgame, since I have pretty much everything. :/

Random item stats, even crafted ones would be fantastic. though it'd need to show the base stats on crafting, like copper chest has 2 defence and when you craft it the stats would be set and added.
