I tend to not use "gimmicky" stuff like horseshoe, cloud in a bottle and stuff like that. Or atleast not all the time.
I prefer using hp or mana bands for most slots. I do bring obsidian skull with me tho, but not worth keeping it equipped all the time.
I use:
Balloon
Cobal shield
3x hp band
walk speed is usless.
Double jump gimmick. Use grappel hook more.
Horse shoe is usless. Use grappel hook more.
any tips for hell? i have decent weapons/armor but can't stay for long because i get caught in a crossfire of like 6 imps and then several bone serpents

Use your pick to defend against fireballs.
If there's just 2 imps, just dodge.
If there's more than 2, keep killing them till there's just 2.
bone serpents are not hard if you got a flail.

Well, that's my problem. I use Double Jump a lot because I really use a lot my Grappling Hook

Yes! Finally found a cobalt shield.
Now I don't even care that 9/10 chests in the dungeon contained only healing potions and shurikens, I got me my Muramasa, and my cobalt shield.
I've also got the message that supposedly happens when a meteor spawns after breaking shadow orbs, but I scoured the west border to the east, and found one. I have a theory that a new meteor will not appear until after you collect enough of the first for the heads to stop appearing.
I also have terrible luck. 5 shadow orbs smashed, 4 of them gave me muskets.

Well destroyed my first shadow orb, but a meteor didn't land. It said it landed but there isn't one.

I had 3 meteors in my world. 1 in corruption, 1 at the far West and last one at far East.
They all came after I destroyed Shadow Orbs.
The names in this game are hilarious.

Going into jungle. Good accessories? Any tip?
I like how one meteor gives me and a friend 40 bars each. We aren't going to finish the Phaseblade Collections anytime soon with that.

You download hamachi, start a new network, let people join that network, create a server and let them join with the ip hamachi gave you

it depends on what you use and how you play
for me, i love being able to move, so i use the hermes/horseshoe/cloud/balloon/cobalt
i also don't like aiming so i use the muramasa instead of sunfury or something
