Terraria Megathread V3 - Wheres that map drawer program again? - Games

Gonna try and kill skeletron with grenades, should be fun. I estimate I'll need 11 x 20 grenades to do it.

Doesn't the jungle tend to spawn on the opposite side of the dungeon on the map? often under corruption.

You'd be much more likely to hit it quickly.

Is it possible to get a way to change the sound effects? I'd like to change the hurt sound so it doesn't sound like a mudokon from oddworld.

So, I had to reformat my computer because it decided to shit itself, and completely forgot this game doesn't use Steam Cloud, so now I have to start all over again. :saddowns: Anyone got spare items they can throw my way to make this easier?

I have created an character editor. You can change your character name, HP (& max HP), mana (& max mana), your hair style, and all the colors of your character. I have also added an Armor and Accessory tab that allows you to change the items you are wearing via an inventory style item selection dialog. I like the theme I have now, but making a screen like that for over 200 items would make the GUI very cluttered. I'm thinking of making a simple, rugged inventory editor just to have it there for people to use. I hate that my program isn't technically complete in a sense of "full inventory editor", but I don't want to release a program with 4 well developed tabs and 1 horrible designed tab. In short, I left the inventory editor tab off to keep things clean until I can make one that is clean and simple to use.

I've been killing hornets and man eaters for about 4 hours now. Trying to get cobalt armour. I now have 3 cobalt helmets and 1 set of cobalt greaves. :saddowns: 4 cobalt helmets now. 5 cobalt helmets now. :crying:

Made a quick little change to the guide. Now I can murder the fucker.

I'm finding it impossible to get going with this game. Can anyone give me some helpful advice? I made a Large world, because I wouldn't want to run out of room, but I found that even after a hour of solid mining I only found about 15 bars worth of copper and mere scraps of everything else. I then made a medium sized world, and that was slightly better, but I still don't have enough of anything to make even the most basic of armour (not even 1 piece) and I just die all the time in battle, is there something I'm missing?
