Can anyone explain to me how to fight back corruption? Purification Powder doesn't do shit, I can do the same thing with my sword but it won't let me plant sunflowers or anything. I don't know what to do.

Uhhhh. On the slight chance that you aren't trolling:

Take your amount of defense (let's say 20), and divide it by 2. So your effective defense is 10.
Then take whatever amount of damage that should've happened (25), and minus it by the defense (10).

So the damage you will take is 15.

If the original damage was 9 however, it [i]should've[/i] been -1. (9 - 10 = -1)
However, if the damage is <1, the damage will always revert to being 1 again.

So no matter what, you will always take at least 1 damage.

corruption can't spread past stone, if you want to stop it that way

I got that. What does it actually do? All it does is destroy grass, mushrooms and thorns. I can do that with my sword. It doesn't actually -do- anything which is why I'm confused.

I remember that powder turning corruption grass into normal grass

It turns ebonstone(The stone in the corruption that you can't with a low tier pick) into stone.

I accidentally put a wall down, and now I have no idea how to remove it. No tools seem to work on it.

I think reclaiming corrupt land depends on how many of the orbs you destroy. I tried using purification powder before I destroyed any orbs and it didn't work but now that they're all gone everything is good to go.

It works on the grass, which turns it to normal grass but you need to put sunflowers to keep it green.

It also turns the ebstone into cobblestone so it's easier to mine.
