For a water candle, does the item have to be on our hotbar or just in your inventory for it to work? Does the item need to be highlighted as well?

I done goofed guys I got pissed at the dryad because of the price for the dirt rod so I put some corruption seeds around my base and forgot about it and went to mine, now I am trapped and nobody can do anything wat do

What even are mana stars? All I know of are fallen stars, mana crystals, bands of starpower, etc... never heard of mana stars.
