That still doesn't change the fact that I don't like the game. Just because I legitimately do not like the game does not mean I am joining in on a bandwagon, I'm not trying to "fit in."
I don't like the game either. But it's far from one of the worst games ever.
Reach and Mass Effect 2 made me cry at the end. They are the only two games I have ever come across to do so.
Bioshock.
It is. And it started when they announced that there would be no Dedicated Servers.
Except that most people hated it for it's unbalanced multiplayer, not necessarily dedicated servers. In fact, most the people who didn't enjoy MW2 tried the game, they did not do it for the sake of joining a group.

And people hate it now that it's out. What's your point?
The point is that because the bandwagon begun before it was out, people were determined to hate it. And now people talk about it as if it's the worst game ever conceived. When it's just a pretty average game.
Mass Effect has a very good story So does the Half-life Series.

When it's just a pretty average game.
More people hated it after release because of the unbalanced multiplayer. I was one of them since I didn't know or care what dedicated servers were at the time. People are able to tell the difference between "fun" and "frustrating". And it turns out that most people found the game to be not fun and hate it.
People hated it before it even came out.
...with good reason. No dedicated servers + the fact that the first Modern Warfare was god-awful in both single and multiplayer imo was enough for me not to buy it. And that's not counting the price...
People hated it before it even came out.
Because they announced that there would be no dedicated servers before it even came out. The SP Story itself is awful in my opinion. The US General starting a war with Russia to make the US the most powerful world power, and recruit troops who all die. Then two people manage to take out an entire base full of special forces, and even shoot a helicopter down during a high speed boat race. What the shit.

But the bandwagoners (not saying they don't like MW2 legitimately) always talk like it's the worst game ever. All I'm saying is that it's far from the worst.
The Elder Scrolls Series have pretty good storylines. And i liked Borderlands' Story even though the end is so shit. Dark Messiah's got some good writing, Cod4 also. I'm serious. Starcraft and Halo series. Mirrors Edge is confusing but kinda good.
Get out
I actually thought MW2 had a pretty cool single player.
Should I play the mw2 singleplayer I haven't touched it but have 17 hours of gameplay in multiplayer.. Is it really any good?
Should I play the mw2 singleplayer I haven't touched it but have 17 hours of gameplay in multiplayer.. Is it really any good?
There's this thing called an opinion. Everyone you ask could say that it's shit but that doesn't mean you won't like it.
I really don't like people who buy a game and only play one part of it. [editline]12:16AM[/editline] Form your own opinion on it.
I bought half life 2 just for garrysmod and played the first mission of half life 2 for 10 minutes then never played it again. Maybe I should try half life 2 again as well.
I bought half life 2 just for garrysmod and played the first mission of half life 2 for 10 minutes then never played it again. Maybe I should try half life 2 again as well.
You should. It's one of the few games people must play through at least once.
Well, he should. But he doesn't need to
I think Fable has a good story. Especially since you can watch Albion change through time drastically each game.
Nope. Most people enjoy the multiplayer, hate the community,, the hype, the CEO and the shitty shitty length of the SP. Get your facts straight, son.
actually it's both some people say multiplayer and the community and bobby kotick suck other's say the whole game sucks and infinity ward and activision suck and i'm not your son, buddy.
MGS4 all the way accross the sky. Do a bit of research though, because its incredibly deep of a story.
Fallout 3 GOTY.
MGS4 all the way accross the sky. Do a bit of research though, because its incredibly deep of a story.
Pritty much this. If possible, buy Metal Gear Solid over PSN, so you can get a better understanding, also see if anyone will lend you or is selling Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3, their both awesome. On the topic of Hido Kojima games, try playing Snatcher on the sega CD, it's a Blade Runnerish detective game that's got a great story. you most likely have to use an emulator to play it though.
cod4 also has a good story sure i liked mw2's story but cod4's is alot better as its not too much of a hollywood like action film
Nope. Most people enjoy the multiplayer, hate the community,, the hype, the CEO and the shitty shitty length of the SP. Half-Life series and Metro 2033, they both had really amazing storylines.
Planescape: Torment, but it's gameplay leaves a bit to be desired.
