There's nothing wrong with being upset about your items not making it in-game, especially with how frequently items make it into the game in general. You shouldn't be making items solely for them to make it in-game though, you should do it because you enjoy doing it, them getting in the game is a bonus.

if scrake is continually voicing disappointment about his items not making it in doesn't that kinda give the impression he's doing it with the hopes to get them ingame rather than to have fun making them

And although that is true, you don't tell someone "There's better contributors than you" because not only is that [I]incredibly[/I] rude but that's not even remotely relevant.
Regardless, it's human nature to be disappointed when your hard work doesn't get acknowledged. If any reason for him to stop voicing disappointment is because it gets tedious and/or annoying, not because of his reasoning for making items.

of course, but the problem is it HAS become rather tedious (at least to me), and it IS annoying for some people, as much as you resent those people
Then tell Scrake to shut up and that no one cares, don't insult him and his work. (speaking in reference to what Maruhai did, not talking about you in particular or anything like that)

Yeah I do it for money indeed, I have a lot of fun making concepts and all this stuff for dota, but I mostly do it because I need money.

That's not the problem, I think. There are worse contributors than him (or Hawf, or other Workshop contributors) which got more items ingame than them.

It would suck to spend tens of hours (or even hundreds in total) on making quality items and then not getting any money even though they were implemented. (if your item is labelled common it will pretty much never be bought)

Just make something rather popular with low quality and people jump on it, while great models get out of sight.

The whole "make items for money!" killed the quality of TF2. Old days when mods where just mod used to be way more nice.
