In Deus Ex, it shows the whole denton family, (or rather the nano augmented) as being lab grown, at least partially.

It's in the last gameplay trailer, yeah, I also thought it sounded like Denton but it was Jensen. And I think it's Jensen and not Jenson.
So I bought deus ex a while ago for 2$ on steam because everyone loves it and I wanted to try it, I haven't gotten around to playing it until now however and I'm just wondering if anyone has some starter tips?

Take the GEP Gun. Just joking. I'm also replaying it right now. Do [B]not[/B] upgrade swimming, it's useless. Also, try using your keyring on the doors since you can be given the key to it (I usually forgot about it and wasted lockpicks on it). The guards can't see for shit so stay in the shadows as long as you want. Err, well, that's about it I think. You're gonna get instructions in the tutorial.

The guards can be either psychic in hearing the dropping of a bar of chocolate and running to the source of the noise, or they can be really dumb in saying "What was that?" and "Ah, just my imagination." after directly seeing you run in front of them.
Use the bio-electric (BE) cells only when your energy is at 0%. If you recharge yourself when you still have some energy, the rate at which your energy will drain will increase as a result.
When selecting from two alternative augmentations, concern yourself with what would benefit you, personally, the most.
The very first level will test your patience. Just bear with it.
Have fun!
Am I the only one who thought the first one level was really fun and not so hard? I had troubles with directions however.

That DirectX upgrade works wonders - it seems to forced a lot of the textures not to down-scale as much as they used to; you'll start to notice little differences on a lot of the characters. I had no idea Alex's jumpsuit had a built-in keyboard for example...
Ok well I would but this .ini is not letting me save the changes, I don't know wtf is going on because I turned off read only on the entire folder.

This is actually great advice, you can get the other two weapons on the first level but a GEP Gun doesn't show up for a very long time.
Plus you can use it as a 'lockpick' :hellyeah:

I'm trying to install the Direct3D 10 renderer but the preferences menu says it failed to load, and modifying the ini just makes the main menu incredibly slow.

This was actually the most effective way of getting an instakill/knock out with a melee weapon
Man, the texture packs and all are cool, but I can't play multiplayer with those, so I have to copy everything back and forth all the time. Is there any way to automate that, at least?
