Well they haven't said its in yet. Hopefully they talk about it within the month. Also, Viral sites: http://www.sarifindustries.com/ http://humanityfront.com/ Humanity front is blank for the time being.
The hacking Mini game on that site is neat.
Eidos, I am disappoint. In-game stuff is not so good of course but a fucking double-barrel shotgun?
I don't know why but I laughed when he whipped it out, its so out of place in the world. Still hoping we can get those weapons without pre-order at some point.

I hope that's how it is. [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] * An entirely new mission with special cameo appearance of original Deus Ex character Oh shit
Augmented Edition looks great. Will be picking that one up unless they reveal a even better edition.
It could be that pre-ordering these weapons will give you near-instant access to them, whereas those who did not get the pre-order pack can simply buy them from an arms dealer in-game?
Thats what I'm assuming. But exclusive missions is what bothers me the most.
Explosive Mission Pack Exclusively at GameStop e/ stores * An entirely new mission with special cameo appearance of original Deus Ex character * Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher * M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED) * Automatic Unlocking Device
'kay and canceling my preorder. [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] Pity, I was so expecting the game :frown:
I guess its like a multi tool Seems like the exclusive mission will have to do with Tong (Tracer Tong?) http://deusex.com/preorder
Automatic Unlocking Devices are delicious.
This is probably going to be one of my few boxed games.
Augmented addition is so worth it. Upgrading my pre-order at gamestop as soon as I can. Plus the cover art is just so sexy, I have to pick a box up.
This is probably going to be one of my few boxed games.
Its a decent collectors edition. I expected some kind of figure or object from the game but I like what I'm seeing anyway.
Is the hacking game on the viral site how hacking will work in HR?
Is the hacking game on the viral site how hacking will work in HR?
I'll just copy paste what I said on official forums. You have different abilities like defensive/offensive stuff. You have to be strategic in your movements and how you use these abilities, thats what I'm getting when I played the mini-game and looked at the shots/trailer. Its got RTS elements but don't expect something in-depth. It has to be easy to use while still containing some complexity since you're gonna be doing it a lot when you're going the stealth/hack route.
Ahahah oh my god the Augmented edition for PC costs as much as the regular edition for console.

Homestuck [and MSPA in general] does that a lot
Hmm $10 extra isn't much but I don't know if I want the content that much. The packaging is very nice though. [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] Also exclusive missions are the stupidest fucking things ever created. Even though I'm dead certain it'll be ~$5 DLC within 3 weeks after release.

The extra mission is probably a $5 pack and the extra weapons are probably another $5. So that's $25 extra goodies, except they have it at $10.
Oh I didn't even notice it had a soundtrack, yeah I'll probably get it. But it doesn't activate on Steam, I'm not used to buying non-Steam games.
Oh I didn't even notice it had a soundtrack, yeah I'll probably get it. But it doesn't activate on Steam, I'm not used to buying non-Steam games.
Where was that mentioned?
It wasn't, I just assume it won't. But then again Kane and Lynch 2 used Steamworks...there's still hope. [editline]30th November 2010[/editline]
Search for Steam on Deus Ex forums to see if there's any Steamworks info

Find first thread having to do with Steam

Read first words:
We all know [and HATE] STEAM.

http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=114746 It is very hard to force myself to ask on these forums but it's the best option [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] Dear god he uses words like "Softwear" I can't take this

It is full of ridiculous people with ridiculous opinions. They have no common sense and see Eidos Montreal as retards that have thrown together a game instead of actual developers. Now with that rant over, its probable that it will be steamworks. Ask EM on twitter if you can.
I don't have a twitter, can anyone ask for me? I want to know if Human Revolution will be using Steamworks and if I'll be able to activate a CD key from the Augmented Edition on Steam.

The community guy hasn't been answering much lately though on the forums.
Thanks
Where was that mentioned?
Augmented Edition * 40-page Artbook * Exclusive Bonus DVD: Making Of, Special Trailers, Animated storyboard of CGI trailer and Soundtrack * Premium Packaging * Motion Graphic Novel [editline]30th November 2010[/editline] [img_thumb]http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j130/jamilahmed1994/Deus%20Ex/coverquestionmarkcropped.jpg[/img_thumb] I think the cover would be cooler with his shades on. http://deusex.com/preorder
There is a character already in the game named Tong.
There is a character already in the game named Tong.
But the exclusive mission features a cameo by a character from Deus Ex 1. And the mission is called 'Tong's Rescue', so... [editline]30th November 2010[/editline]
I don't have a twitter, can anyone ask for me? I want to know if Human Revolution will be using Steamworks and if I'll be able to activate a CD key from the Augmented Edition on Steam.
We haven't had any confirmation on this matter so far, however there have been hints from people quite high up in the food chain. With Kane & Lynch 2 being a Steamworks title, the likelihood of Deus Ex: Human Revolution being one is also quite high. Unless you are in a hurry to pre-order right now, then just wait it out until there is confirmation.
I think the cover would be cooler with his shades on.
Exactly what I was thinking.
