This concept art is horrible and will not be used.
I have come with evidence.

Thank God someone bumps this. I don't get why it isn't so popular.
I'd like to have EVERYTHING in FPP. Think of the scenes with blades or punching through the walls...
Does anyone else think that Jensen's coat should be purchasable in real life? That thing's awesome.

It's not HORRIBLE, It just doesn't fit the style of the game.
I've never actually played Dues Ex, but this looks amazing.
Do want.

It seems that when in danger, Adam takes off his coat but where does he put it?
About the interview: "Y'know", "that's-that's-that's" and " it's like".
Also, Trenchcoats are not a problem, the sunglasses are :v:.
Wondering what this game will be like?
Just seen it. Completely blown away by how awesome it was. Some quick things before i return to writingt my (dutch, sorry guys) preview of it.

It was mentionned that the game entered beta. So all elements are in place

I noticed a pailkiller item on a desk

The time required for health to restore is really low, so it looked hard to play just gun blazing

HUD(not final) currently consists of health/enery bar at left top, communication info at right top, weapon info at right bottom with selected augs above it.. cant remember what was at the left bottom

Inventory seems like first game, with only difference that you can rotate items now

I counted 21 augs, all with their own upgrade tree

Character from Deus Ex was mentioned:[sp]Manderley[/sp]

Switch from first to third person is really smooth

There was an non lethal weapon showed, but the game crashed (happens sometimes with alpha builds) before i could see it

Hour of cutscenes, all at chokepoints in the game so you cant have them differ

Graphics looked just slightly as if they where painted, looked nice

Hacking looked complex

Saw no newspapers, though they confirmed emails as readable

Let's hope this isn't another Invisible War.
Let's hope this isn't another Invisible War.
What's that?
What's that?
Deus Ex: Invisible War is the second game in the Deus Ex series and considered by many to be vastly inferior to its predecessor. On its own, it probably wouldn't have been a bad game but it just doesn't hold up to the original.
You can rotate inventory objects? That's awesome, I hated having enough slots free to hold an object but not being able to because it was a funny shape.

Yay, now I can spend more time obsessing over optimising my inventory than I spend playing the game, just like Resident Evil 4.

What. How are you supposed to pick something up when you've already got a shitton of shit then? So that the game itself puts and rotates the items in the inventory? I prefer manual.
By the way, it seems that when I wake up there's 6 more posts, so I'm missing all the fun here. Too bad the game is kinda unpopular so we have to bump it.
:frown:
[editline]10:03AM[/editline]
Also, have you played the Nameless Mod for the first Deus Ex game? It is fucking awesome.
I hope they allow us to increase the inventory size like in Resident Evil 4
The only thing I care about is the story, it was what won me over with Deus Ex and I hope this one provides a great storyline.
I like how they throw in all those conspiracy groups such as the Illuminati, Majestic-12, FEMA, etc.
I hope they allow us to increase the inventory size like in Resident Evil 4
I think ye olde classic Strength Augmentation should increase it, as well as [sp]CQC (I'm not sure about that since we have takedowns.)[/sp]

And just like in the first game, there shouldn't be "the best" ending, all of them must have pluses and minuses and none/all of them should be canon.
The strength mod allowed me to increase inventory size? I chose combat strength but I don't really need it since I got the Dragon's Tooth

I don't think so, there wasn't such an aug in DX if I remember correctly. I meant this as the classic since it's used in lots of RPGs for this exact purpose (more like "you can carry more things which are heavy" rather than "this will increase the inventory size")
Jesus this game reminds me of Blade Runner so much. I can't wait for this.
Also they either need to make a Deus Ex movie, or a blade runner game goddamnit

both. But actually, a movie based in the universe, rather than telling the original plot. However, I don't know, since the first one isn't really popular, it was released way before the time. I mean, shooting hands to make enemies drop the weapons? The game was revolutionary.

The game's art style is inspired by Blade runner and Ghost in the shell.
They said they wanted to make it look a bit victorian styled with the lighting and the trench coat design (that's the example they gave me, probably many more) but in a cyberpunk universe.
And for those worrying about it being another deus ex 2, they said it's a reboot title.
Cyber Renaissance? This could very well be my dream game.
EDIT: Eh. For some reason by the looks of the Gameplay Trailer, it doesn't capture my attention. Can someone give me their reason on why they're looking forward to this game?

The first game was awesome.
The un-linear paths/storyline.
A great combo of FPS and RPG mechanics.
The theme and the designs of the universe.
A great storyline.
I'll edit some when I'll remember more, but those are the main ones.
Actually games like these trigger imagination and make me want to get to the future already. Too bad I'll probably be dead by the time.
Also note that the reason they spam the action in the trailer(s) is because they want to catch the adhd-ish fellers, and hope that the ones who played/know the first one(s) know what to expect.
[sp]At least I hope it's that...[/sp]
Well, as DrBob posted:
"The time required for health to restore is really low, so it looked hard to play just gun blazing"
So lets hope that's not another Splinter Cell: Conviction.
You need to see the unedited leaked handy-cam footage of the gameplay at E3 - it's much more representational of how the game will play than the 'gameplay trailer'.
It shows stuff like conversation trees, one option of getting to a goal, and some of the town wandering.

No need to play the smartass. Read the OP first, man. :v:
