What's the time limit for the pre-order sale?
What's the time limit for the pre-order sale?
No idea, but you should just order now since you can cancel it later.
No idea, but you should just order now since you can cancel it later.
wait so do I pay now or pay on release date?
wait so do I pay now or pay on release date?
Many online retailers deduct their payment when the game ships, so you have time to garner the funds that you require.
wait so do I pay now or pay on release date?
On release. Protip : if you can deal with a PAL version just preorder it from Game.uk, the Aug Edition costs 32£ with the shipping.
On release. Protip : if you can deal with a PAL version just preorder it from Game.uk, the Aug Edition costs 32£ with the shipping.
From which country?
PAL version
what's the difference?
what's the difference?
Different types of encoding for different countries: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0d/PAL-NTSC-SECAM.svg
Different types of encoding for different countries: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0d/PAL-NTSC-SECAM.svg
I thought that wouldn't make a difference on a PC monitor.
Doesn't affect PC versions, at least last time I checked the info on NTSC/PAL shit.
Man, I really want to play through IW, but the ammo thing pisses me off so much, like I was sniping some guys very early in the game, and I ran out of ammo for all my guns. Who thought that it was a good idea to have universal ammo? Seriously? I couldn't progress.
Usually I have an abundance of ammo.
Doesn't affect PC versions, at least last time I checked the info on NTSC/PAL shit.
steam has region locks though.
I hope there is a few jokes about Wikileaks in the game.
steam has region locks though.
surely it would be resolved through contacting steam support?
Very-very modified Tomb Raider Underworld one. [editline]4th December 2010[/editline] Also, since noone posted this and these aren't on the official site but only on the forum: [IMG_thumb]http://eidos.http.internapcdn.net/eidos_vitalstream_com/deusex/wallapapers/triangular/DXHR_Wallpaper_Triangular_1920x1200.jpg[/IMG_thumb]
Thanks, this is now my wallpaper
The deus ex (1) theme is awesome when done with a piano : Same with Icarus :
I like it, but I hate how everyone who makes piano covers are too lazy to write out the sheet music for it.
I made a wallpaper out out of the Sarif Industries website [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13796438/sarif.jpg[/img_thumb] No effort whatsoever
The Sarif industries website is one of the better viral websites I have visited.
I hope that when you hack into the computers in this game the stuff there is as cool as the Sarif website instead of just email and stuff
I hope that when you hack into the computers in this game the stuff there is as cool as the Sarif website instead of just email and stuff
You would think they would do that. We've only seen simple paths in screens and the trailer though. I'm a little worried that its a linear path.
From which country?
Sent from UK to almost every country in Europe To make things clear, GAME don't add any tax to the game available at preorder, and if the price comes to get higher, you will still pay the price indicated at the moment preordered the game.
You would think they would do that. We've only seen simple paths in screens and the trailer though. I'm a little worried that its a linear path.
I agree, it would be much better if there was more "variable" paths.
I agree, it would be much better if there was more "variable" paths.
Well, watching the trailer again there does appear to be alternate path pieces that you can hack into like emails. It seems you have to use something to halt the tracer before moving onto this piece of info unless you wanna get caught.
But there will be emails that you can hack, which implies a more variable paths.
Checked the FAQ section on the official forums for 'twas revised yesterday, only new thing was
IS DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION AN RPG/FPS/TPS? Deus Ex: HR is FIRST person, but switches to third person for some contextual elements, after which it quickly returns to first person. DX:HR still has a component of action, a component of RPG, and a component of open-ended gameplay. You can play it the way you want - just as in the original game. If you want to be a stealth agent, or if you prefer to be a John Rambo, the choice is yours. You can play the entire game using combat... or you can play using stealth. Or, you can play the entire game going back and forth between both. The key is CHOICE. As the player, you are able to play the game the way you want to play it. Stealth and Combat incorporate a cover system, however neither are locked into it. Both are designed to work in first person or third, opening up further choice of play style. An RPG and a shooter, there are always different ways to solve an objective, different people to talk to and lots of extra little things to do beyond the main path - just like Deus Ex 1. There is no one way to play; there are multiple ways depending on your style. DX:HR will not lack RPG elements because of a couple other game design choices - it remains an action/RPG like the first game even with the changed aspects. It's still based around making decisions which have consequences, selecting from a multi-path, multi-solution approach in a non-linear space.
:sigh:
