For those still wanting the Augmented Edition at £30 its still that on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004EHZHDA?ie=UTF8&tag=pa0a-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B004EHZHDA
I'm sure the weapons are going to end up as DLC... [editline]7th December 2010[/editline] I'll probably end up getting them
Either as DLCs or there's something else in game instead of them available later after the point where the preorder weapons are available.
You may have noticed that the price of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition on the GAME site has gone up to 37.99 GBP Please do not worry, your credit / debit card will be charged with the lower amount as originally agreed when you placed the order. This is merely one of the benefits of the GAME 1st To Play Preorder Service!
What the hell IS GOING ON.
What the hell IS GOING ON.
Also, new trailer up on MSN friday: http://www.gamersmint.com/msn-to-reveal-exclusive-deus-ex-human-revolution-trailer-on-friday
What the hell IS GOING ON.
£48???!!!??? :downsbravo:
£48???!!!???
Looks like the market for augmentations has crashed. [editline]Edited:[/editline] I've waited quite a while with playing IW, because I've heard a lot of complains about it. Turns out it wasn't actually so bad, at least I could enjoy it. The ammo system was complete nonsense however and augmentation canisters where vastly available. I had about 7 canisters spare when I completed the game, probably so you can change your opinion later on, as augmentations were not supposed to be irreplaceable. Made it way to easy, compared to the same difficulty in the first game. I wonder what other people think about it, I'd say it went a bit too mainstream.
Extended Trailer: Not much new footage, feels complete though in a way. Community guy says expect more trailers. I think this might be the one that was supposed to be out on MSN. Not sure.

Although the single ammo type was bullshit.

Which is strange because the original works perfectly fine, you'd think that the older one would have more compatibility problems.

Anyone else kinda think this would be great as a feature length movie instead of a game?

That's why I never preorder, either. Great CGI though. It's a shame the "wall-breaking punch" is only usable in predetermined spots (if you look at the gameplay trailer where they do it, you can see the seams of the hole before he punches the wall).
Anyone else kinda think this would be great as a feature length movie instead of a game?
Imagine compiling that scene.
Damn, Square Enix is good at making cinematics! This game has be all pumped up with hype, HYPE HYPE HYPE! (caps). But I remember playing the older games, I really should replay them.
What older games? There's just one.
What older games? There's just one.
Invisible War may have been crap to most, but some people liked it.

Okay, call me retarded or whatever, but I was on kotaku looking at the "pant disaster" And someone was going on about how the game was going to be dumbed down and that your desicisions were trivial. He then said one of the most baffeling things I've ever heard, "That the choices you make in Dues Ex" were much more philosophical. Look, I haven't completely beaten the game but seriously!? So far I've been given choices to either, save a co-worker, kill every living thing I see, kill some and knock out others or just ignore them all. Where the hell is the philosphical component of all this? Am I missing something or is this just like the people who complain that Half Life 2 doesn't have anything revolutionary about it.(Which I would disagree with so I guess its a fanboy thing.)

There is a ton of philosophical debate in the game but there aren't really any DIRECT choices. DX:HR is going to be focused around human advancement and from what I gather there will be a lot of events that play out much differently if you make certain choices. 7 endings in total for DX:HR too so thats a good indication that you'll have to make more choices than just kill or don't kill.
Final boss will be JC Denton's foetus calling it now

Farcry 2 is a prime example of that, it just annoys me one game gets this when its not even apparent.
See, I like the cinematic trailer(s) a lot, but that one woman/man with the ridiculous hair and outfit just makes me nerd rage so much. It's like Square Enix's "Let's put this character in a ridiculous and impractical outfit in an attempt to be different and edgy" bullshit somehow leaked into what otherwise looks like a very good game.
The Augmented One looks like Rihanna.
Her name's Fedorova.
No trailer yet on MSN, either that or I'm not looking in the right places.
No trailer yet on MSN grr.
Extended CGI trailer is that trailer. We haven't seen Fedorova in-game yet but given how they look in the CG trailer she'll look less goofy. Ridiculous clothing still there though.
Wow didn't think the trailer would be much since it's just extended but it was amazing. I didn't think I could want this game any more but now I absolutely need it now.
