That means the news girl is supreme mastermind.
The news girl is secretly a man.
tbh guns don't even matter in Deus Ex
Pretty much, Deus Ex is my favorite game ever and all I ever use is the pistol.
I just realized, the thread icon should have been news [sp]cause it's orange[/sp]
I reserved a copy of the augmented edition today at gamestop. I also reserved Dragon Age 2 but we're not talking about that in this thread
I know this may sound stupid, but I hope there are more side quests. or at least the few there are will be immersed.
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/cg-directors-deus-ex/708299 Aww, media tags ain't workin' for GameTrailers :v:
Haha, what a relief I took the augmented edition on Game.UK while it was still at around 20£
I know this may sound stupid, but I hope there are more side quests. or at least the few there are will be immersed.
Side missions are more to do with the world, world history and Adam's past rather than just random bullshit. They don't affect the main story though.
As you may already be aware, the UK release date for Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition has changed to Mar-2011. Changes to release dates are relatively common in the videogames industry and are unfortunately beyond our control. Don't worry, your order is still live and will be despatched prior to its release date via your chosen method of delivery.
:smithicide:
Reminds me of Alpha Protocol for some reason. It might be the orange HUD and menus though.
:smithicide:
This is their predicted date. If EM had a definite date to give out they would've done an official press release.
The news girl is secretly a man.
Don't ruin the news emo-chick for me.
The release date has always been 3/8/11
'twas February on Steam last week :raise: [editline]12th December 2010[/editline] Still is.
Running through Deus Ex again. FULL LOW-TECH WEAPONS, FULL COMPUTING, FUCKING SORTED.
Running through Deus Ex again. FULL LOW-TECH WEAPONS, FULL COMPUTING, FUCKING SORTED.
Agreed, so I've downloaded the DX10 mod and high-res textures. I'll try how it looks with maximum forced AA & AF.
DX10 mod works great for me but for some reason I can't see or navigate security menus. Forced into using explosives and rifles :smith:
Deus Ex is still the only game Ive played where you can use your weapons to get through doors.
Deus Ex is the only game I've played where you can use a giant laser sword to get through doors Actually you might've been able to do that in some Star Wars games
Later on there aren't that many doors it can go through which is kinda sad.
I hope there's a Dragon Tooth easter egg in Deus Ex 3. Wouldn't be able to be in the game as a weapon though since it was a new technology for their time and wouldn't make any sense in Deus Ex 3.

Probably we'll even find some katanas and other blade weapons.

Plus those arm blades only seem useful as piercing or impaling weapons, not actually melee shit.
Plus those arm blades only seem useful as piercing or impaling weapons, not actually melee shit.
You are supposed to stun the guy before using it to engage a QTE. Which means melee will basically consists in either using melee weapons to bash/slash the enemy to death or use your environment to throw shit at them and stun them so you can finish them down with your arm blades.

No confirmation on melee weapons. I wouldn't see the use given that we have takedowns. Nanotech (in the DX sense) is only just going to be used so we might see what leads up to certain tech.

(Sorry if I'm talking shit, I didn't read through the whole thread and only recently got interested... tho I'm still very skeptical)
