Does that mean they might have completely deleted those spikes of blades attached to the arms you could see on the trailer? (Sorry if I'm talking shit, I didn't read through the whole thread and only recently got interested... tho I'm still very skeptical)
Augs are different from weapons. It would be useful to read the OP or the official site. By melee weapons I mean shit you can get your hands on like swords and crowbars.
God. 3 Months away. Seems like it's so close yet so far. Am I the only one who feels that?
God. 3 Months away. Seems like it's so close yet so far. Am I the only one who feels that?
Totally same. I try to forget about it since I'll start thinking about the game every minute.
Totally same. I try to forget about it since I'll start thinking about the game every minute.
Same. Next year is so promising though. Deus Ex and Dragon Age in the same month. Right after is Portal 2. I don't think I've been so excited for gaming in awhile.
I wonder if some of the augmentations will be visible, like if you got a strength booster, your arms would look different or something?
I wonder if some of the augmentations will be visible, like if you got a strength booster, your arms would look different or something?
Yes and you already can see biomechanical muscles in the trailers. [editline]13th December 2010[/editline] I don't know if they are just in the cinematics, but I think they consistent with gameplay as well.
-snip-
To the people who find it too far away from us, just forget the game and go on with something else. It will be here faster than you think if you act that way. [editline]13th December 2010[/editline] And I still laugh out loud every time I compare how technology is supposed to be more advanced in Deus Ex 1 than HR even though it looks primitive and simple now.
Now that I own it, I really can't wait for it. BTW, will you be able to sneak through most of the game like you were able to in the first one ? I tried that in the first deus ex but failed, probably will try again in human revolution.
I wonder if some of the augmentations will be visible, like if you got a strength booster, your arms would look different or something?
The reflective material will probably change how your arms etc look. I know for a fact the claymores in your arms are a visual change since he doesn't have them at first.
Now that I own it, I really can't wait for it. In the first Deus Ex I had to choose between being invisible to people or being invisible to machines. I chose being invisible to machines because I can easily handle any person. Don't make me choose in this one. it was such a hard choice
Yeah the devs confirmed that it's possible to do a full Pacifist-run.
With the exception of boss battles.
With the exception of boss battles.
Technically you never had to fight Navarre or Gunther if you knew the killphrases
Technically you never had to fight Navarre or Gunther if you knew the killphrases
An example of how to make the player feel damn good about themselves.
You could just run past navarre.
laputan machine
I really hope we're able to punch through a lot of walls to snap necks. I want to play through this with stealth but I want to kill everything like a predator
I really hope we're able to punch through a lot of walls to snap necks.
Wallpunch locations look very preset to me if you look at the gameplay trailer, you can see the seams of the hole before he punches it, it's not dynamic
They've stated before that only certain walls will be weak enough for a wall-punch scenario. You might not be able to snap someones neck every time but there should be plenty of opportunities to bypass a door etc.
laputan machine
Sticks and stones.
laputan machine
flatlander woman
flatlander woman
How did you kno- *BOOM*
In the first Deus Ex I had to choose between being invisible to people or being invisible to machines. I chose being invisible to machines because I can easily handle any person. Psyched for this game.
flatlander woman
How do you get hers?
How do you get hers?
[sp]Don't kill Anna in the aeroplane, login to one of the computers near the jail cells at UNATCO when you are escaping.[/sp]

[editline]13th December 2010[/editline] Also I think it's better just to upgrade all your augs to 3 and use the heart booster thing to get 4th level.
As long as we don't have to pick between Super Shields and health regen
I can never find aug canisters in Deus Ex. I've only found one, and it was in the first level.
