Also note that the reason they spam the action in the trailer(s) is because they want to catch the adhd-ish fellers, and hope that the ones who played/know the first one(s) know what to expect. [sp]At least I hope it's that...[/sp]
It is.
-snip- bad reading
MMMMMmmmmmust bbbbump ththththththread. Also, I'm almost finished getting the tune of the first game's theme on piano. Anyone interested?

E-A-C-B-A-F-E-D-C-F-E. E-A-C-B-A-F-E-D-C-F-E. E-E-C-D-G-C-D-E-F-E.
Oh hey. What does everyone think about 3rd person view in the game? I personally think that [sp]It kind of ruined the game a bit for me since I really liked the way how stealth worked in the first game. I just hate when in a stealth game there is a covering system and you can use your camera to see what's behind the corner when the actual character just leans against the wall hiding.[/sp] Just my opinion though.
Why spoilertag that, it's not a spoiler? Anyway, it doesn't matter to me, nothing except MIB agents right next to the corner would notice you peeking for a split second in the first game.
Someone might get offended :3:

You can still use the classic way of playing the game without the 3rd person stealth. But the 3rd person executions are a requirement I think.

They did originally think about having melee weapons, like in DX1, but it conflicted with what they wanted to do. Personally, I prefer takedowns to meleeing someone with an awkward melee system. I'm sure if the developers put in lean keys for the PC, then that would make a lot of people happy.
lean keys for the PC
I hope so. Also: [img_thumb]http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/160/b/f/ENEMIES__by_kv_Angel_A.png[/img_thumb] (click for full size)

Updated Characters section with small bits of information for pretty much all of them. Added new pictures of Adam Jensen. Added a section for David Sarif, president of Sarif Industries (a company that specialises in human augmentation). Added a section for Adam's female co-worker. Added links to the Deus Ex Wikia pages for the characters that have them. Adjusted the individual character information and picture portions to be easier to view and to separate the wall of pictures and text.
Hmm, I think I'll change the avatar to either the Enemies one or this one: Actually, you can visit the DA account for more awesomeness of drawings - http://teknikal-vision.deviantart.com/gallery/ . I also strongly recommend you to play The Nameless Mod for Deus Ex. It is fucking awesome.

Alas, I have issues modding my Steam Deus Ex 1, so I can't play mods like 'The Nameless Mod' or 'Malkavian Mod'. New article on the game's symbolic colours: Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director Explains Game's Symbolic Colors
Eidos Montreal didn't pick the colors in Deus Ex: Human Revolution because it thought they looked pretty, those colors are much more significant than you might think. You don't have to be super-observant to notice that the Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailers have had plenty of yellow in them. That's not an accident, says the game's director, and it's not just a visual thing either. Director Jean-Francois Dugas says that that yellow is actually gold, and is part of a dualistic color scheme that represents the game's themes. The first, and most obvious, color - the gold - represents hope and the "promise of better selves." The second color is black, which represents the cyberpunk dystopia and people suffering. He said that the color scheme also fit with the Icarus imagery that previous trailers had used, and getting closer to the sun. David Anfossi , the game's producer, added that the palate, and the meanings assigned to the colors, neatly illustrated the game's tagline: "It's not the end of the world, but you can see it from here." Using color in this very particular way isn't a new idea - movies have been doing it for years - but it suggests that Eidos Montreal has put some real thought into the storytelling of Human Revolution. This is especially exciting when you combine it with Dugas' comments last month about how important it was to let the player make his or her own way through the game. Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be released for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 early next year.
Hm, I actually kinda like the yellowish style no matter what people say. But I hope it will be more dark than yellow.
Oh, here's the new IGN interview - http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/111/1116073p1.html
Wondering what this game will be like? * Hour of cutscenes, all at chokepoints in the game so you cant have them differ
errrgh i don't know how I feel about this
errrgh i don't know how I feel about this
They're adding more cinematic shit like 3rd person takedowns, cutscenes, etc. OH WAIT! Did I tell you that I've ordered this bad boy from http://www.eidosmontreal.com/en/shop.html two weeks ago? Of course I didn't. Should be here in September. That's answers from David Anfossi and Jonathan Jacques-Belletete. We had a little interview with the producer and got the gameplay demo at the gamescom. Game's looking fine, altho it lacked special effects as it's still alpha.
How much did you pay for a bag with a a title on it?
I've put a link for the official shop, BUT however I'll pay somewhere around 3k-3.5k rubles. That's like a hundred bucks. Actually, we're not doing this "officialy" but using some other method [sp](stealing it, he-he)[/sp]. Anyway, that's offtopic. I ordered a bag since I was really looking for a cool messenger bag and I have plenty of T-Shirts. [editline]11:14AM[/editline]
Thanks, added to OP. The bag is an exclusion :v:.
I'm back with a quality post from the official Deus Ex forums:
He's definitely qualified- I just don't know if Warren has the stones to grab somebody like a Dugas or a Harvey Smith by the collar and say, "Listen up: this (insert "third person/cutscenes/universal ammo/regenerating health" here) is a dumb idea! This may rope in a few extra sales, but it will seriously detract from the quality of the game." In the end I'm afraid it's all going to be irrelevant. Deus Ex fans are about to be pushed aside, comrades. I've listened to the buzz generated by the "kewl" trailers and press releases. I've seen the gaming press foaming at the mouth, ready to pour out adulation for DXHR. There is a lot of hype building for this game among the casual gamers. I've spoken to them, listened to their conversations. There are lots of people out there who have never played the original or IW, but the Square Enix trailers have them interested. And they outnumber us by a lot. The sky is falling. Repent while you can. /bitter rant.

I'm back with a quality post from the official Deus Ex forums:
That only makes little sense because the choices they made are only made to improve the game. Not to simple have it sell better, but to make it a better experience. We will find out if it's any good when it's released, but for now, i will call the ranters butthurt fanboys that want the impossible.
The new community manager has arrived and made his first post:
Oh, hi. My name is Kyle Stallock. I'm very happy to announce I'm the new community manager at Eidos Montreal. I never thought I'd be here in Montreal working with two of the most acclaimed videogame properties (hopefully two turns to three, and maybe more, in the future). I adored videogames while growing up in the tiny little village of Lake Bronson, MN (population of roughly 250!), and idolized those working in the industry, but working with them...just a dream, right? Apparently not. This is surreal. If you want to know more about who I am, here's the short: I'm 25, and I've tested, designed (just a little bit), and critiqued videogames for the last three years, all while teaching a class on the industry (I also wrote the curriculum). Additionally, I hosted a weekly gaming-themed event at the school. Oh, and I also very briefly played Street Fighter at a professional level. I choked at the GameStop nationals, but I'm not bitter. I lost to one of the best, that rascal Mike Ross... But anyway, here I am. I’ll keep an eye on the forums, oversee the company presence on social networks, blog, help plan events, etc, and more. As they say in the fighting game community, “get hyped.” One thing I don’t want to be is another marketing mouthpiece spewing press release jargon. I’ve built much of my career on cultivating an honest relationship with my audience, and I don’t intend to stop now. But please keep in mind that although I’d like to comment on everything as before when I was a journalist, I am now a part of a multi-million dollar company. My words and actions, however small, large, positive, and/or negative, could impact the work of hundreds. Don’t call it censorship. I call it responsibility. Most of all, please keep in mind that I’m like many of you. I’m a humble, hardworking media sponge who’s been given a tremendous opportunity. I’m going to do all I can to not waste it, and you, the fans, are the ones who benefit most. As I begin this new chapter of my life, I invite you to take it with me at minnesotainmontreal.com (be aware of cheese, and not the kind you eat). Also, check out additional ways to find me at the bottom of this post. I’m looking forward to working with and for all of you. Stay classy, Kyle P.S. I’d like to immediately answer any and all questions you may have regarding Eidos Montreal, and/or the titles we’re developing, but I just started! I’ll do what I can! Don’t hurt me if I can’t deliver the exact pixel count of a weapon scope. P.P.S. I’ve attached a piece of concept art to this post. Enjoy.
He was also kind enough to include a new piece of concept art: [img_thumb]http://forums.eidosgames.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=134&d=1283200355[/img_thumb] You can follow him on Twitter. [editline]09:50PM[/editline] And a brand-new interview for you lucky people to enjoy: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gc-10-deus-ex/703761
