Big as in long or as in map size? penis jokes
[editline]30th December 2010[/editline] as in how long is the game
Its going to be longer than the first one, I hope

A mod who play tested said its got 3 times more depth than the first. Certainly will feel longer but not sure about amount of levels and size etc.
But the pre order packs for Fallout New Vegas had some preorder-exclusive stuff. I'm looking at you, Merc Nade Launcher. But if they release this stuff in the future as DLC, I will forgive them.
Every new vegas exclusive preorder weapon was just a restat and rename of the regular ones
Every new vegas exclusive preorder weapon was just a restat and rename of the regular ones
Too true. Pity the people that pre-ordered then found out you could get mods to the same effect.
You need to enjoy the game vanilla first before you can see what the mod actually changed.
Or I could already know what the game is about, what it's flaws are and read the release notes of said mod? I don't blindly mod. I usually mod with a purpose. I.E. "okay visual mod since I know the game looks really dated, etc". Like me using ENB series in Witcher my first play through. I already know what the game looks like, I don't need to "experience it" on a full 50 hour play through to understand the differences.

Does it affect performance greatly?
This game (Deus Ex) is shaping up to be something I totally did not expect. It's fucking incredible.
I just finished the Hell's Kitchen mission and god fucking damnit I couldn't get out of the warehouse area after spending like 20 minutes looking for another way out (I went in via the rooftops). I just wanted to finish the sidequests :( But anyway, how big is the game roughly?
have you blown up the generator yet? the helicopter is on the roof; just follow the staircases all the way up either that or go out and climb up all the ladders and shit, but it's easier to get lost that way, plus there are NSF dudes with sniper rifles
How is the ENB series for Witcher? Does it affect performance greatly?
The only thing that works on it is bloom and SSAO I think Doesn't affect it greatly, and it's very minor of an improvement.
There will be some sort of alternative sniper, but I doubt we'll get remotely detonated explosives in the game without a preorder. Which sucks balls, as you can't get both preorder packs. That is just wrong.
In Fallout New Vegas (if you pre-ordered it) they gave you an exclusive pre-order only weapon, an obtainable weapon, and some items to give you aid. Oh, and some Armor. All those items were available in the game, except the 10mm Pistol, which was only a reskin, and I think a bit stronger than a normal 10mm. All those items were given to you at the start. I also think the Vault armor was not available. I'm assuming the same with Deus Ex. Players who pre-ordered the Tactical pack. One of those items will probably be a simple reskin, while the other can be obtained later in the game. You also get 10,000 credits early to spend. In the Explosive Mission Pack, the grenade launcher is probably unique, while the other two items can be obtained sometime in the game, however, you simply receive them earlier than normal. You also get that bonus mission, which will probably be downloadable in the future. [editline]30th December 2010[/editline] I pre-ordered the Augmented Edition though, so I have it all I believe.
I wasn't all that impressed by fallout new vegas.
I wasn't all that impressed by fallout new vegas.
Thanks for the input, I was simply making a comparison to the pre-order item and their distribution methods, not the quality of the game itself. (though I believe Fallout New Vegas is fantastic.)
have you blown up the generator yet? the helicopter is on the roof; just follow the staircases all the way up either that or go out and climb up all the ladders and shit, but it's easier to get lost that way, plus there are NSF dudes with sniper rifles
Well I did that, but then I realized I couldn't get out of the whole area at all to do sidequests so I had to take the helicopter out of there
Well I did that, but then I realized I couldn't get out of the whole area at all to do sidequests so I had to take the helicopter out of there
there aren't really many sidequests in deus ex
I had two unfinished in Hell's Kitchen, I just didn't explore the whole world before I went for the main mission, that's all.
Then there's all sorts of things you might not even realize, like the fact that you can stop blue laser beams with pepperspray to slip past, and [sp]you can save Paul when he gets attacked in his apartment[/sp]
I hid his secret computer room closet thingy for a few minutes, then opened it, threw a mine out, closed it, everyone exploded, including me, due to the mechs being all explodey-on-death, and then I woke up in the prison cell with [sp]Paul alive.[/sp] I have literally NO idea how that happened.
I used a massive application of force. I really wish it was possible to kill Gunther when you meet him at Battery Park, after escaping Paul's apartment
I used a massive application of force. I really wish it was possible to kill Gunther when you meet him at Battery Park, after escaping Paul's apartment
I was disappointed after having done all that just for JC to give up. So satisfying getting Gunther with the kill phrase though later.
I was disappointed after having done all that just for JC to give up. Laputan Machine." "I - am not - a machi--" "Sticks and stones" twitchtwitchtwichboom
After I said his killphrase I went up next to him so I could loot him after he died. Big mistake on my part... Also I'm trying to beat the game without getting any take downs.
Is there any new footage released?
Currently trying a no-casualties run (using tranquiliser darts and baton knockouts even though the game counts them as dead after the third mission :colbert:)
Is there any new footage released?
Not as of yet. Expect more Ask JJB videos in January.
Then there's all sorts of things you might not even realize, like the fact that you can stop blue laser beams with pepperspray to slip past, and [sp]you can save Paul when he gets attacked in his apartment[/sp]
I did thought it was possible first but then I saw that there were like 20 soldiers outside the apartment and two MiB's so I didn't exactly try. [editline]1st January 2011[/editline] and then I tried to do everything to avoid being captured by Majestic 12 back in Battery Park but I'm pretty sure it isn't possible to escape that so [editline]1st January 2011[/editline] Also does the crowbar serve any other purpose other than to kill? I just thought considering it uses up two or three blocks in your inventory you would want to use it at some point
Then there's all sorts of things you might not even realize, like the fact that you can stop blue laser beams with pepperspray to slip past, and [sp]you can save Paul when he gets attacked in his apartment[/sp]
When I realized that and didn't have any saves that went back so far I was like welp this playthrough's fucked I'm going to go cry in a corner now. [editline]1st January 2011[/editline]
Also does the crowbar serve any other purpose other than to kill? I just thought considering it uses up two or three blocks in your inventory you would want to use it at some point
It breaks boxes but eventually you just get a Chinese laser sword, so just drop it and use a baton.
When I realized that and didn't have any saves that went back so far I was like welp this playthrough's fucked I'm going to go cry in a corner now.
you delete your saves? WHAT
you delete your saves? WHAT
I only use one save slot in DE what is so wrong about it
