I don't understand the concept of preordering. It's simply one of those marketing gimmicks that never really got to me.
Games don't sell out like console do, they will almost always have them in stock somewhere on release day. Why preorder when last minute you find out the game really really sucks or you can't pick it up the week you ordered?
If I want a game on release day, I get it. No preordering needed...

It's simply to increase sales. They try to get people to buy their games before the reviews come in. That's why we also have fucking retarded review embargos.

I preorder because of discounts, or because I have the money now and might not later, or because I'm just plain hyped for a game and want to make sure I have my copy, as in the case of super smash brothers brawl when that came out and there were none in stores for days. Though I don't really play on consoles anymore.
Ask JJB - Are the geometrical patterns linked to the story in any way?

This was my question by the way. I'm pretty happy with the answer, its just something that I've wanted clearing up.

Thanks to you, we now know that the Illuminati will be involved in this game.

This is making me think DX:HR will be connected to the MJ12 formation in some form. Might be a small catalyst.

If that's true, Bob Page would have to appear somewhere in the game.
Also I think it's been confirmed that the end of the game will show UNATCO's formation, so perhaps the final level will be on Liberty Island like Invisible War?

That UNATCO stuff was said a couple of years back so It might have changed.
By MJ12 formation I mean something that would instigate a power struggle or fallout in the Illuminati, I doubt they would put such a big event at the end of the game since they've said the game is supposed to be its own story with subtle hints to the first game.
Thank you for the following order placed with GAME.
Order number(s):
~removed~
As you may already be aware, the UK release date for Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition has changed to May-2011. Changes to release dates are relatively common in the videogames industry and are unfortunately beyond our control.
Don't worry, your order is still live and will be despatched prior to its release date via your chosen method of delivery.

here is what will happen:
1) the devs put in some minor character that we see in Deus Ex who is related to the illuminati (eg everett)
2) hint towards a future power struggle
3) make spinoff comics and novels that expand on these, detailing the rise of mj12 and make a truckload of money

I know I'll enjoy the comics/book(s) but I honestly don't think they will sell well. I think the comics that are coming out are just what ideally happens in the game.
Looks like the giant hole in the ocean is going to be for constructing the MJ12 underwater base
That seems a tad unnecessary for such a simple base, really
We have way more efficient methods for constructing shit underwater
Especially when they don't even do a very good job of defending it. Two scuba guards oh god didn't think it'd be easy for a super soldier to take them out and get in
I love when a game sticks to a particular colour scheme like this

I think they're digging down the the Earth's core or something
Geothermal energy :science:

Geothermal energy can be gathered in a much easier manner than IN THE MIDDLE OF AN OCEAN
Geothermal energy can be gathered in a much easier manner than IN THE MIDDLE OF AN OCEAN
but does it look nearly as cool?
I thought not!
I read somewhere it was a geothermal plant. Someone said it might be Panchea but somehow I doubt a geothermal plant can double as a haven for augmented people.

Very true, but probably they turn the water into steam. Would be a crazy idea though, Earth's core would cool down...

There are entire countries that work on mostly geothermal energy, of course it can!
Very true, but probably they turn the water into steam. Would be a crazy idea though, Earth's core would cool down...
Not it wouldn't unless they somehow made the whole layer spanning the ocean floor disappear, and even then it wouldn't make a noticeable difference
You seem to underestimate the size of the core and overestimate how much water we have
Earth's core would cool down...
by like 3.5 x 10^-19 percent
I found these videos of the same E3 demo we have seen before, except the visual and audio quality is much better, so you can pick out the more finer details when you watch.

Another Ask JJB video should have been up but there were tech problems and the air con in the office is fucked so they're waiting until its fixed.
On a high note, they've been able to take the game home and play it properly now. I'm still hoping for a demo.

If you're going to buy the game anyway why not just pre-order it and get the extra bonus?
Game delayed possibly till next year (due out "before April 2012"), due of Sqare Enix banking almost all their money on FFXIV and it failing so massively that they had to slash their profit forecast by over 90%....
