I might end up getting it on PS3 :smith: Can't risk buying it and having it run poorly.
What are your specs? Just pre-ordered the limited edition from my local Gamestop. :buddy:
Already pre ordered the comics and the book from Forbidden Planet :3:
I might end up getting it on PS3 :smith: Can't risk buying it and having it run poorly.
This is also my problem too. :smith: I've been putting off preordering for a very long while now purely because I would want to run it on full on my pc and I want to have the best experience of it, but know I wouldn't be able too. Might get it for a console instead. But it would be a sin not to buy a Deus Ex game for pc, it's where the roots lie.
Already pre ordered the comics and the book from Forbidden Planet :3:
Ooh, when does the comic come out?
If this game can run well on the xbox it will be able to run fine on my pc. Right now I'm just wondering when I should pre-order,where I should pre-order from and what version I should pre-order.
While I like the art style I'm worried the gold and black might get visually fatiguing after a certain length of time in the same way Gears of War did
First comic comes out 9th of February
While I like the art style I'm worried the gold and black might get visually fatiguing after a certain length of time in the same way Gears of War did
Better than being mostly Red. After looking at a red screen for any period of time and you stop, everything else looks green... I can't tell you how many times my walls temporarily became green instead of white after a game or two of Gratuitous Space Battles
But modding!
Tools aren't confirmed yet. I honestly don't see what you could mod besides the gameplay and even then it would turn into a total bitching contest once you do.
What are your specs? Got weekly payments on this piece of shit and if I send it back I won't get money back. By the time I would have payed it off an upgrade would be out of the question, would probably have to buy a new rig at that point. Nearly done my LBP2 level. Just need to fine tune the attacks for the player and enemies then finish the first level.

You'll have to decide for one platform you want to stick with.
If you keep throwing money at console stuff the situation will never change. I know the benefits of both platforms but with the way industry is moving right now I'm finding it hard to predict which would be the best long term investment. I would always choose to play something on the PC as long as it wasn't a terrible port but I know jack shit about hardware so my only option seems to be buying a new comp. I think I might save up and buy a new comp at the end of this year or start of next. Might even sell PS3 with games etc if I feel it would be worth it.
F.Y.I. building a computer is like playing with [quite expensive] legos.
F.Y.I. building a computer is like playing with [quite expensive] legos.
I like lego. Would you say its cheaper to make my own?
Yes you are right and I'm not saying one platform is better than the other one, that's a decision everyone has to make on their own. On long terms however trying to stay up to date with more than one system will cost you more. Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Augmented Edition (PS3) - Buy new: £59.91 Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Augmented Edition (PC DVD) - Buy new: £37.99 No thanks. [editline]7th February 2011[/editline] Ten console games instead of PC ones and you've wasted enough money to buy a new graphics card from the upper class tier.
I like lego. Would you say its cheaper to make my own?
Depends on specs but very likely. If you wish to talk further of the topic, please move on to PC Building subsection of Hardware & Software.
Well I've asked EM on twitter about a demo/benchmark that way I'll know. Doubt they will be able to comment but, fingers crossed.
If you cannot find the time to build your own computer, just buy pre-built. It's a much faster process, but you risk efficiency.
If you cannot find the time to build your own computer, just buy pre-built. It's a much faster process, but you risk efficiency.
Not really to do with time but cost. I got plenty of patience but no dorra. I've had a hard time looking for decent pre-builds and I end up buying any random comp because I need it there and then.
I bought a pre-built and replaced parts that really needed to be replaced. My computer is from 2006 and can run most modern day games.
I bought a pre-built and replaced parts that really needed to be replaced. My computer is from 2006 and can run most modern day games.
Prebuilts just cost more overall.
specs
dude, just upgrade your gpu and it will run fine our computers are almost identical except for the gpu and I can run crysis on high at 1080p for christ's sake

What would you suggest? Someone told me to get a GTS 250. My monitor is fucking old, that wouldn't affect much would it?
What's your budget for a GPU?
Don't currently have a proper budget to work off but if I save up for like a month or so I could have 100+ probably
A monitor won't affect your performance per se, but if you run at max res it will affect performance so if you have a 1280x1024 LCD vs a 1920x1080 one the 1280 one will probably run the game better Oh and there's refresh rate but it's pretty hard to get a monitor with lower than 60hz so it doesn't matter tl;dr no it doesn't [editline]8th February 2011[/editline] Assuming you run at their respective max resolutions ofc

Mines a decent size to say how old it is, runs at 75ghz I think.
$150 will get you a GTX460 1GB or if you're a bit tight on money $120 will get you a 5770, both great mid-end GPUs, the 460 has better performance though.
