Sarif isn't afraid to sacrifice things or do what it takes but he's not one of those out right bad guys from what I gather. I honestly think he might be a big player in his own right since so many want him gone.
What factions are there? I try to recall some from my mind:
Sarif Industries -- David Sarif: "We only try to unlock the full potential stored in our own DNA!"
Tai Yong Medical -- Rival of Sarif Industries
Purists -- Consider augmented humans as abominations
Department of Defence -- customers of Sarif Industries
Proxy Soldiers / Tyrants -- Mercs hired by an unknown enemy of Sarif Industries
Humanity Front -- probably less radical group than purists?
Sarpatech -- no idea who they are, must be rivals as well
Eliza -- Don't ask me, but you infiltrate the studio in one mission where she broadcasts, she plays a role
A mole, someone must have helped during the raid on Sarif
Well this is only what I've gathered from the trailers and no spoiler.

Well, don't know the TRUE factions but the companies are all controlled by them.
Okay a small spoiler now, but I took it myself from the trailer:
[sp]Barret and Fedorova use Tai Yong Medical augmentations. You can read the name on his arm. Also the logo of TYM itself, kinda some sort of triangle made out of dots appears on his and Fedorova's augmented bodies.[/sp] Never saw anybody mentioning this here or anywhere else, but I'm most likely not the first one to discover this.

People aren't restricted from getting augs from different companies, Fedorova has leg augs from Sarif. The dot logos are common for all companies. Its like a bar code for augs.

Wires need to be less noticeable and only near his ears.
His skin needs to be deathly-white.
The book has utterly convinced me that the writing is gonna be brilliant in the game. Really well paced so far, quite intense/harsh at times too.
Just beat Deus Ex again, Illuminati ending this time. I liked it more then the Helios one, more closure.
Tong ending was best ending. I go for it every time.

Yes true but she uses augs from several different companies, which would speak for her working for some big player who just wants the best for his soldiers, even DoD could be possible.

Helios ending was the coolest, but the Illuminati ending was more of an ending and less of a cliffhanger. The Tong ending was just lame.
