In an FPSRPG, points can and, to a debatable extent, should dictate how well you can hold a gun. It worked well in Deus Ex. It's an FPSRPG, not just an FPS.
It didn't work well in Deus Ex, because it felt like JC Denton couldn't hold a pistol without shaking it violently. I don't need to be a 'Master' of pistols to hold and aim with one.
It worked well in Deus Ex 11 years ago.

You don't think it worked because you didn't like that your aim and damage output was poor at a low level, if the game was just an FPS and your aim was poor for no reason, I'd agree it doesn't work. But it's not, it's an FPSRPG, and having poor pistol aim because you didn't level up the right skill has a consequence and significant effect that changes how the game is played, as it should be.
Every RPG that comes out now, EVERY SINGLE ONE, has the same complaints.
Is that snarkiness? Are you suggesting that he is wrong in pointing out how the video suggests that HR may be a decline from Deus Ex? That he should just deal with it and not be disappointed? Or am I wrong in how I have interpreted your post?
His point is valid, but in general you can complain as much as you want about a game, regardless how bad it is and overall you don't get anywhere, he made valid points, but considering what he said he shouldn't play it.
:v:
We need a sequel to this when Human Revolution is out.
Welcome back Adam. You look like an invisible enemy. [editline]22nd March 2011[/editline] All the violence. I am the source.

I'm almost definitely going to play and enjoy it though, just I'm gonna complain about it a lot until it's released, and then maybe a lot more after I've played it, circle of life. :v:

Holy shit reading icarus effect at the car shop while waiting for my oil change to finish, and got to page 60... [sp]Gunther Herman! And the orange soda reference was awesome. I had a stupid grin on my face in the middle of the lobby reading that page. Shit's getting intense with the story too. I hope we get to meet the characters in-game.[/sp]

Y'all want some fan art? Gun is placeholder. Think I should get rid of the tacticool vest? Also, just how old is Gunther during the events of Deus ex? If he is in his 20's during the icarus effect, that has to make him about 50 or so by 2052. Or am I wrong?
Get rid of the vest and give him something kinda like Jensen has.
Watching the new multiple pathway trailer, I think something's lacking from the game that Deus Ex had. I think it's the good graphics and the non clunky gameplay that i'm actually missing strangely. That with the cover system which I feel is unneeded. I really hope that shooting will be as clunky as in Deux Ex. In here the people seem very fleshy and easy to kill in one shot, while in Deus Ex, they absorbed a bunch of bullets. Deus Ex wasn't a game where you could run around with an assault rifle and kill people in 1-2 seconds.

In DXHR its fair game because you can both get shredded.

There's no regen health or cover system, and vanilla with bulletsponge enemies and main character is harder than "one shot one kill" mods. So no, increasing damage for both sides just makes the game easier, unless you're absolutely incompetent at aiming.

If you slip up and let them get the drop on you for one second you're fucked. Practically everyone who played it said they got their ass kicked many many times so the AI must be really on your ass all the time. Sure you've got to include the fact they are using console controllers and aiming won't be as snappy but the AI still must be doing something right.
There's no regen health
yes there is :colbert:
yes there is :colbert:
Okay, technically there is, but it won't help you in a fight at all since it takes like 10 minutes to regen to full health. And artifacts don't count.
-snip- I can't read
