You can say it's objectively bad, but you're still 100% fucking wrong, even if you go by how you did that, because that's again, just your perception of it. Who the fuck cares what you think is, all you do is say "nope, i'm objectively right"
And how do you argue with someone saying they're right? You can't.
You have presented no contradictory evidence to what I briefly provided as my reasoning as to why I believe Oblivion is an objectively bad game. You simply jumped into the everything's subjective seat and rode away into the sunset. Therefore I maintained my position. You present that which refutes what I provided as my reasoning, then the argument will go places.
And now I see i'm slipping back into the argument of pure and unadulterated stupidity.
Your forte.
Riutet can you name a thing that's good about this game
if possible
Many people say the piss filter looks bad, but I disagree, I think the heavy golden colour correction looks great. As well as the art direction in general.
The promise of a Deus Ex game with Deus Ex level design and mechanics is great, combined with the level of consistency Deus Ex 1 had in terms of your actions, or greater in scope. If they pull it off it will be an amazing game, if they get it half right it'll be an amazing game. But from what I have seen they don't quite seem to get it, their 4 pillars make me doubt they got what made Deus Ex 1 a good game, I'm expecting something that's better than Invisible War for sure, but probably not as good as Deus Ex. I think it might beat the original in some areas, but fail quite hard in others.
Ah, I see how you can see it this way. Perhaps this is the result of my poor wording. I viewed dickhead as "presenting an opinion that does not sit well with Monk", not necessarily a directly opposite opinion, but one that he just does not agree with in any way, shape or form. I didn't wish to imply that I was right in holding a contrary position to Monk, just that Monk was wrong in holding his position of certainty on his view.
I don't really know what you mean because my brain isn't working very well but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume what you said made sense

And I pointed out it was not my intention for what I said to be taken that way, and that it was an error of my wording rather than an accurate portrayal of my belief.
After this post everyone is going to ignore Riutet and not acknowledge his existence.

that's juvenile

I wouldn't go so far as to call Monk a troll, I've seen a couple of his posts in various threads and he is abrasive sure, but I doubt he's doing it on purpose.

god damn that was cold dude
you're either incredibly arrogant or a troll, I'm leaning towards the latter because it's not like me to insult someone's character

the difference between us, honey, is that I don't exclusively accentuate any negative aspects that I see in the game (which may or may not be there) above all else. The only time you have shown anything other than blind cynicism is when you're backpedalling as fast as humanly possible after getting flamed up the ass due to how much of a massive idiot you are
I don't know if it's been mentioned but Barret and Fedrova were in the book The Icarus Effect as members of the group "The Tyrants".

Calm down.
I feel inclined to talk more about the negative aspects of the game more than I do the positive, as speaking about the pleasant features of the game is something I did months ago elsewhere and the recent media we've seen has largely been negative. When Eidos release a new video properly showcasing some of the good features of Deus Ex: HR, I will comment on them accordingly. But until then, I will comment on what is most recent.
Being insulted is not an issue for me, I stated a while ago that I thought the game was going to be worth playing after people initially questioned why I was in the thread if I didn't like the game. I am not backpeddling, if anything I'm peddling around in circles.
why did he got banned
Orkel banned Riutet for 3 Days in May I contest my ban? with the reason “Reduced”
Orkel banned Riutet for 7 Days in The Witcher Megathread with the reason “Suggesting warez”

So apparently, the bare minimum gameplay time is at least 20 to 25 hours.
http://www.ps3center.net//news/5091/deus-ex-human-revolution-a-minimum-of-2025-hours/
PS3Center recently got the chance to ask Deus Ex: Human Revolution's Game Director, Jean-Francois Dugas, a few questions. The full interview will be posted soon, but one of the interesting pieces of information he let us in on was that the game should last a minimum of 20 to 25 hours.
"Depending on how you play it, if you take on additional quests, etc., it will make your experience even more expansive. Nevertheless, if you do the strict minimum, you're still in there for at least 20 to 25 hours."
So it looks like the game is definitely living up to its RPG roots
Old news, but it makes me smile every time I see it.
10 hour games are rare nowadays.
I remember playing Deus Ex and thinking the game would end soon but it kept going and going.
I remember playing Deus Ex and thinking the game would end soon but it kept going and going.
Yeah, but it ended quite abruptly, didn't it? After [sp]stopping the missile from destroying Vanderberg[/sp] I thought I would be able to go to a safe area and, I don't know, replenish supplies or something like that. And then the game went like "bam, you're going straight to the last area". I don't mean I thought it was too short, it just needed a smooth transition between playing and the end.

I'm guessing that being in the on the roof in the first city as such (Hell's Kitchen I believe) isn't far at all?
Oh boy I'm in for a long one, at least I've got until August. Hopefully I'll finish it unlike all the Zelda games I own :ohdear:

Yeah I don't even think you are half way through yet, Hell's Kitchen is one of the first sections of the game

First visit to the Kitchen? Yeah, that's the 'second level', in as much that Deus Ex has them. Don't be afraid to spend some time there though; there's plenty of stuff that you can do then that will affect your return visits.

You will finish it.

depends, you visit hell's kitchen several times in the game
if you spawned on the roof it must be your second time, because on the first you go up from the subway
either way you're still really early in the game

I hope this is the case, it's nice when an upgrade isn't a straight upgrade, but instead gives you an advantage in one area but can seriously disadvantage you in another. I wonder if there will be any distinction between visible augmentations and somewhat well hidden augs in terms of whether it's apparent you're heavily augmented to NPCs.
I hope they take advantage of that whole Pro-Aug Anti-Aug thing they have been talking about being a big thing in the game, and in a non-superficial way, like with consequences that are both somewhat immediate and not so immediate, that is not just a different ending or railroaded ending depending on how augmented you are, but changed opportunities long before the ending too.
On a side note could that dude be any more hipster?
