Question is now, are there things that rely on the highlighting being on to be not totally invisible because the game was designed with it in mind at first?

Before: Boo! Highlighting sucks because it shows us everything! I want to find everything myself!
After: Boo! You've changed it! Now I won't find anything!
This thing suits about everygame. If something's not changed, fans will go all "ew, it's just the same game!" and if it is, they'll go "ew, this game is nothing like the previous one. Why the fuck did they add feature x?". You've got to understand the devs in this situation, they can't always please all their fans.
But I've gone off topic. Riutet, will there be anything you won't bash? They did as you wanted and now you say that it may be a bad thing? Well, if that so-wanted option will make you stumble across a dead end, you can always turn it on, that's why it is an option. And besides, Eidos has, like, 3-4 months to polish this even more.

I'm sorry Jericho, but you've wrongly taken issue with a genuine concern I had.
You see you just can't always just take a function out of your game all willy nilly if the game has been designed to function with it in mind. Now while this may and hopefully should not be the case for highlighting, it's a valid concern.
I'm glad that that highlighting is gone, but curious as to whether they did a proper job removing it (assuming it may have had some level of importance beforehand).
I wonder how the storyline is going to work out. I mean a bit after 2027 (When HR takes place) the world goes to complete shit. North western states trying to secede from the union, Israel being conquered, India merging with China for medical supplies, etc. I hope in the story it leads up too all the events that are suppose to happen.

Highlighting didn't seem as bad in that situation, I'll give it a try with and without but I will definitely turn objective markers off.

They worked with the DX bible and consulted Sheldon Pacotti, although the tech may seem a bit out of place the story events should be in line with everything.

As I already said, you can always turn it on. And it's not like they'll forget about some problems with such option, especially when they have so much time left until release.

Sure, I'd just rather not have to turn it on. They could still half ass making the game work without it though.

They should have just done this instead of the Aug Edition.

"Tong's Rescue" exclusive mission... and all those other in-game items...
Fuck that.

The mission is the only exclusive. The weapons and items are in the game, you just get codes to get the items earlier like a booster pack.

Tempted to get this, but I'm quite content with my Augmented Edition for £17.49.
Okay so the only thing different when compared to Augmented edition is the figure.
I can live without that.

Also I like the look of the box and stuff for the collector's edition, and the fact all the extra stuff is included. Too bad its not available for NA, which is kind of weird, since the devs are from NA.
How much does the collectors cost? (in USD)

No pricing yet it seems.

EM is in Canada not NA.
Um, Canada is part of North America

Well they had to wait before on the aug edition to clarify if they were getting it or not so obviously there's some difference with how its distributed.
You guys should fire up some e-mails and send them in Square Enix and Eidos Montreal's directions.
They won't be able to ignore you if there are a lot of you enquiring about this, and will have to provide a justification for this situation.

how did you get it so cheap I thought I got a good deal at £30

Heh, when The Augmented Edition was first put up on GAME, I noticed that it was priced at the exact same value as the standard edition for each platform.
I quickly notified the people in this thread and on the official Deus Ex forums about this.
The reason I got it for £17.49 is because I had some loyalty points to spend, so I redeemed them to lower the price even further from £29.99 to £17.49.

That's cool glad I still got the best deal on that
DX comic #6

[sp]In the shattering conclusion to this epic story, Adam Jensen faces off against his super-augmented former boss, Durant, in a war for the ages...but as with any conflict, casualties will be high and blood will be shed. Will Adam walk out of this alive?[/sp]
Spoiler tagged the synopsis for people who don't wanna know. I read the second issue and the third is out today, its way more violent than I thought it would be. I remember them saying the game wouldn't be very violent initially but I wouldn't be surprised at anything by now.

Why not get the Augmented edition?
"Will Adam walk out of this alive?"
seriously
What if the comic takes place after DEHR?
:ohdear:
Then it would automatically remove all tension of Adam surviving the game
Lose/Lose then.
