new preview 10 hour hands-on.
New screens too, I like this one:

Honestly, it looks like a Playstation 2 game.
Also, "I am bad guy, you can tell because I have eye-patch"

Not so cut and dry in the deus ex universe, bucko.
Game longevity is subjective. Depending on how you play and what you do it can take 15 hours or 50. So if a game is "20 hours long" that can take you 30 or more depending on what you do/how you play.
Or considering how most reviewers play games nowadays, 10.

There's a reason for why he has that eye-patch.
Don't take things at face-value.

Is it because he's the bad guy?
I'm not reading any more of that boring comic to find out. D:
Because he's a pirate.
I just ordered 2 copies of Icarus effect, one for me and another for a friends birthday, I'm really excited to read.
There is actually some pretty incredible backstory on that eye-patch.
I tried to order issues 4, 5 and 6 of the comics but can't since I'm at school and don't have my bank account credentials with me.

Honestly I suspect that you have never played a playstation 2 game.
Those screens are from Official Playstation Magazine, so it's likely they are shots from the PS3 version.
The PC version looks a shit ton better, there's something about the console versions that makes the whole game look a muddy and blurry mess(Probably lower res textures and the total lack of AA).

I have the sneaking suspicion that he isn't actually the bad guy.

I dont think any of the bad guys are bad guys.
Deus Ex, we know
I have the sneaking suspicion that the security company you work for at the start is atlest connected to the bad guys and your boss is secretly evil. ALL OVER AGAIN.

[del]Haha, the aftermath of the bloodbath.
It's great that HR offers freedom like this, but it's even better when there are real consequences in the game.[/del]
Never mind, this is part 2 of a sane player's playthrough.
Eidos Montreal were hacked:
Square Enix can confirm a group of hackers gained access to parts of our Eidosmontreal.com website as well as two of our product sites. We immediately took the sites offline to assess how this had happened and what had been accessed, then took further measures to increase the security of these and all of our websites, before allowing the sites to go live again.
Eidosmontreal.com does not hold any credit card information or code data, however there are resumes which are submitted to the website by people interested in jobs at the studio. Regrettably up to 350 of these resumes may have been accessed, and we are in the process of writing to each of the individuals who may have been affected to offer our sincere apologies for this situation. In addition, we have also discovered that up to 25,000 email addresses were obtained as a result of this breach. These email addresses are not linked to any additional personal information. They were site registration email addresses provided to us for users to receive product information updates.
No dissemination or misappropriation of any other personal information has been identified at this point.
We take the security of our websites extremely seriously and employ strict measures, which we test regularly, to guard against this sort of incident.
If you have an Eidos forum account, change your passwords for your e-mail and forum accounts.

You don't think that Sony already made us change everything?
There can be two possibilities:
1) "Hey guys, with this PSN outage, we could do a brilliant, one-of-a-kind viral marketing scheme where we pretend that Eidos was hacked!"
2) "Hey guys, since we just hacked PSN and Eidos is doing all these press releases with DXHR, we can pull of a one-of-a-kind hack where the technicians don't even bother investigating until it's too late, because they think it's part of an ARG they weren't told about!"
Finally! I fucking FINALLY [sp]escaped MJ12/UNATCO HQ.[/sp]
Finally. Fuck sake. Also, Miguel is awesome. I was headed to the armoury, he rumbled my cover and everyone chased in. I snuck in, claimed a plasma rifle and all my weaponry. As I return to the Command Centre, Miguel runs up to me holding a knife. Everyone in the centre is dead, he's bleeding horrendously and he quickly falls in line with a;
"I got your back"

Interesting bits about the augmentations:
Mid-chat, I was prompted to ‘press Z to activate pheromones.’ I duly pressed the button, and released my gas. A meter appeared in the top left, three pips next to gauges marked ‘alpha’, ‘beta’, and ‘omega’. The standard dialogue options were gone, replaced by a set of conversational principles more abstract: things like the ‘CRUSH’ I’d used against Zeke, each annotated with a small description of their effectiveness against certain personality types. As my mark talked, the meter’s pips filled up with light: two in alpha flashed on as he talked about his duty, replaced by one in omega as he warned me against pressuring him any further on the topic of the stash.

Augs are classified into two major categories: passive, and active. Passive ones, like the noise detector I’d installed earlier, were always-on. Active ones drain power reserves. These reserves can themselves be beefed up with Praxis points, but I’d been neglecting that branch of the upgrade tree. I had two blips of battery to put toward my cloak, which equated to around five seconds of invisibility.
Both guards were set to burst into my hidey-hole at the same time. I waited in a crouch, one finger hovering over F1, watching the door. The one on the right twitched first, and I flipped on my cloak. I had but a few seconds to make it past him and launch headlong into the void, but were I to sprint, Adam’s robo-footsteps would give away my position. I shuffled slowly past the suspicious guard. Once behind his back, I stood up, still invisible, and ran for the lip of the walkway. I rematerialised in the visible light spectrum a millisecond before I began my jump. Any guards looking my way would’ve seen a man appear out of thin air, fall a few feet, then turn into a shimmering human fireball and drift slowly to the ground.
But none did. Once on the ground, I was able to squirrel into a nearby vent and wait out their extended patrol routes. Human Revolution’s augmentations had yanked me out of a spot almost impossibly tight.
I dream about this game. I'm not even joking.
This is Zeke. His life is in your hands. True, he's a bad guy but he could still be useful.
And to the other guy, yes, I've played plenty of PS2 games. I just think it's the setting that makes it sort of a late 90's early 00's type game, futuristic spy-esque type style that we've all played before. Mainly, Perfect Dark/Perfect Dark Zero and every 007 game after GoldenEye. It just looks cheesy.

I doubt they will use all 25,000 accounts, so I won't be too worried.

He may be the "bad guy" in this scenario, according to the PC Gamer previewer, but I highly doubt he is a true "bad guy".

uhhh what? Please go read some more about this game. There is nothing like it setting-wise in gaming except for the other deus ex games. This is a game about transhumanism, with a cyberpunk renaissance setting and a plot that involves corrupt goverments and corporations. No way in hell it looks even 10 percent as cheesy as the games you just mentioned.
No other game has combined cyberpunk with renaissance elements. It's truly unique.
I'm assuming it's gonna be Ghost in the Shell: the game
except, you know, actually good
Gotta stealth erryday

He previously had an eye augmentation but through some way decided that augs weren't really helping and decided to have it removed and join the anti-aug group. He isn't a remotely huge character but he will come up eventually if you talk him out of it.
4 out of 6 #dxhr playtesters finished the game today. The fastest player took 25 hours, the slowest 30 hours. It was fun to watch!
I am sure if you read every single e-mail, website, note etcetera you will find it will be even longer than 30 hours :)
one of the pcgamer guys spend 18 hours on the 'first 10 hours'. So that's saying a lot.
