And to the other guy, yes, I've played plenty of PS2 games. I just think it's the setting that makes it sort of a late 90's early 00's type game, futuristic spy-esque type style that we've all played before. Mainly, Perfect Dark/Perfect Dark Zero and every 007 game after GoldenEye. It just looks cheesy.
The NSF terrorists in the first game appeared to be the bad guys, stealing shipments of vaccine for a rampant plague and taking hostages and the like. Then it turns out that the people you are working for actually created the plague and were only using the vaccines as leverage to strong arm politicians into doing what they tell them to, IE: "If you don't forward all control to us, you won't get vaccine for your family" instead of actually distributing it to the population (what the NSF were doing). This is why nobody here is really sure whether he/his organization are the bad guys in this game. It could go either way, but it's impossible to tell at this point.
I am sure if you read every single e-mail, website, note etcetera you will find it will be even longer than 30 hours :)
one of the pcgamer guys spend 18 hours on the 'first 10 hours'. So that's saying a lot.
After listening to the podcast it seriously sounds like so much could be done purely fucking around let alone doing the actual quests and stuff.

I don't think this has been posted yet.
It seems that Praxis points can be earned in the following ways:
• By levelling up
• By purchasing them for a very high price at LIMB clinics
• By finding them as items in the game world
I'm at a loss as to what to do :frown: I've just arrived at the Market in Hong Kong, I don't know where this place Paul goes is, I don't know if I'm meant to get involved in this gang war that's apparently brewing.
What I do know is, LAMing that kid is fun.
No but really, what do I do guys? I'm wearing out my quick-load button.

Look for some large red walls. If you circle around them you should find the entrance where Gordon is. Talk to him.
[sp]Stick with the prod.[/sp]
Did the prod honestly have any real purpose? It did less damage than the baton which had infinite uses and could knock people out non-lethally in one hit

I remember I had trouble there too. Like spekter said, look for the red walls of the compound. I think it's to the left of the area that you start off in if you're facing the canal, I may be wrong though.

If you hardly put any points into low tech then it's superior to the baton (because the baton won't always knock people out then) but other than that yeah the baton is superior.

Prod is really useful for enemies you can't take out in one hit, keeps them stunned so they both can't fight back and can't alert their friends, don't put points into low-tech it's pretty damn useful, if you did then it's still handy for some later enemies.
I'm standing atop Tongs building. I think. I climbed a lift shaft and found a scrambler grenade, hacked my way through a laser grid. Progress!
I also paid for some girls to get into Lucky Money, spoke to the boss and discussed ideology with the Barman.
Smooth JC.
Oh god. I have a LIGHTSABER.
Oh god. I have a LIGHTSABER.
And now my friend, you have the most overpowered weapon in the game :D
best lockpick ever
I've finally decided to play without cheats, like a MAN. I'm doing pretty well so far, I thought I'd have to reload every five minutes. :v: Although I still am paranoid and save each 5 minutes. I'm in LaGuardia right now, going to exit the helibase. It's so much more goddamn fun when you have to actually be careful.
I still use the inventory and lockpick/multitool glitch everytime I play though :P
use Shifter and suddenly it doesn't work anymore
Nifty, my killswitch has been deactivated. Tongs lab is huuuuge.
Also, MJ12 attacked Lucky Money, I took their special armour, put it on and couldn't deactivate it :frown:
In Shifter you can deactivate armors :colbert:
I infiltrated the MJ12 labs, killed a security chief with my Power Sword, uploaded a ROM and got out of there. Wondering if I should've explored more.

Why are scifi concept artist so fond of foot armor?
Because they stubbed their toe one too many times on the coffee table.

Those are leg augs not armour.
I've not really noticed a trend of that kind myself.

Look at almost any concept art of powered armor
The legs, and especially the feet are obscenely heavily armored just to look cool
Old men causing a shoe shortage maybe.
I suppose running the world comes with some perks, like having all the shoes you need.

Get SHOES against my order.

Aside from of course, running the world.

You'll need running shoes then.
I always thought the leg armor in powered armors was because without there being a lot of leg armor it'd make you too top-heavy and ruin your balance, plus you'd likely not have the strength to move yourself in all that armor at all without some augmentation to your strength.
It's just gotta look cool too. For the Belltower dude, it is leg augs though.
