That's alot nicer than the original images.
Not that I'm complaining, I know that the graphics come last in a mod.

The previous images were taken from our other level Russia, that level has been play tested and polished and is final. These I posted just now are from our new level which is vehicle based and is called Styx. I have some game play videos of the mod from last year yes, but not yet from this level.

I will record new footage which will show the mod more in it's final state soon, I need to finish a few more things in this map (and we need to find a new dev. server for playtesting as well...)

Agreed, especially the last map shown, I liked the whole russian stuff, but I really like what you got going on there in the office/mall type building.
I think in the earlier screenshots, they didn't look to good because of the lighting and [I]I think[/I] a lack of bump maps.

About the lack of bump maps, true, there aren't any in our mod at all. The maps are so huge as they are already. Bump maps would only add to the performance. To give you an idea of the size:
Russia:
waterindices 62802/65536 125604/131072 (95.8%) VERY FULL!
entdata [variable] 565739/393216 (143.9%) VERY FULL!
Global_texture_memory: 285mb
Styx (only 80% done)
entdata [variable] 561204/393216 (142.7%) VERY FULL!
Global_texture_memory: 296mb
I play both maps on my system with everything set to max. on 1920*1200 and I try to keep a 60fps minimum in all areas. I'll agree it's not always there but mostly close.
Luckily the Valve survey says only 20% of steam users still use a 256MB graphics card, so they will need to have their settings low to run them well, but rest assured the other 80% should be able to play them quite nicely, if not we'll hopefully get feedback and I'll be able to fix them up so they do.
I've posted some new material on my blog with progress shots, I got the level running smooth. After my last post I did some more optimizing and polish work. Here are some images of other areas of the level:

Looks great, just out of curiosity are the Hl2 cars just placeholders? Cause they detract from the pictures in terms of quality.
