How would posting his specs help? He said on the lowest, he gets awful frame rate. You can already deduce from that, that his PC is ancient or shit.
Well I reckon my computer can run it on my 9800. But how bout my laptop on a 9300m

If there's no other way to tone the graphics down more, you could try defragging / programs like Game Booster. It helped me get a playable framerate in GTA IV. I'm going to assume your not IT illiterate and disable most of what you don't need through Task Manager before launching the game. Only other thing I can suggest is Overclock, or use the settings in your Graphic's cards control panel to lower quality even more. Or, Upgrade.
Why did you buy a new game and expect it to play anything other than shitty on a non-gaming laptop? It's your fault for expecting to be able to play anything more than HL1 on a laptop and buying one because it's the hip thing to do.

At a more than playable framerate. On a laptop. With an integrated card. Jesus christ thank you all for telling me I need to upgrade as I already fucking knew that and you're not helping whatsoever

There is nothing else you can do, quit complaining when people tell you the only answer you have.
Surprisingly enough I can run MW2. At a more than playable framerate. On a laptop. With an integrated card.
Well done.
The people who are telling you to upgrade are right, there's nothing else you can really do. Don't do it now but keep that in mind when you are making some money.

It can't be done well. Perhaps the lack of tips telling you how to lower the quality should tell you that, you know, YOU CAN'T?! Christ, people are stupid nowadays. By the way, Modern Warefare 2 is running on the CoD 2 engine, which is in turn a modified Quake III engine. MW2 is hardly a taxing game.
true. Still, I can't exactly upgrade a laptop's graphics :downs:
Download more RAM
true. Still, I can't exactly upgrade a laptop's graphics :downs:
Right, so upgrade to a half-decent desktop at the next available opportunity. [editline]09:05PM[/editline]
Download more RAM
Or this.
"I can't afford a new computer, and I live day to day and never plan anything, so I'll spend money on a new game that wouldn't run decently without a miracle. yep, good plan." -OP

Dude, These guys are total dicks, Go search for the NVIDIA Gamer edition of Windows Vista! I'm like blazing through the maitnence tunnels on my netbook! But seriously stop bitching, there is no -direct7 code like in HL2. You bought a hardware demanding game expecting it to run on an intergrated Gpu. That's your problem. [editline]08:55PM[/editline] How about you go buy Minecraft, make a giant mall, and then fight zombies? Like I'm not shitting you, go do that.
How about you go buy Minecraft, make a giant mall, and then fight zombies? Like I'm not shitting you, go do that.
Except Minecraft can be pretty taxing on weaker computers.
My suggestion: Don't buy games that you know your computer won't run. [editline]01:45PM[/editline]
Except Minecraft can be pretty taxing on weaker computers.
Minecraft uses around 1GB of RAM and you need a fairly powerful CPU. I don't think it utilises GPU's, that's why.
I didn't buy it. It was given to me as a gift. I was just wondering, okay? I know I need to get a better PC. No need to tell me this. Also, it's dx8.1 compatible. Some reason it's not dx9 despite I know people who have the same but have dx9. Oh, and if you want the specific name it's the intel 4500m I believe.
ITT: fanboys too blind to see they got a shitty console port
It does. And it's not a port
No it doesn't, yes it is.
You're a fucking retard.
yeah cool [img_thumb]http://imgur.com/iaIlD.jpg[/img_thumb] Lots of texture quality settings there yeah. Mmm I sure do love that texture filtering which doesn't really have anything to do with the quality of the textures, but the mipmaps.
yeah guys you are being completely reasonable everyone i know certainly has 500 dollars to blow on a new gaming computer :downs: [editline]12:24AM[/editline] people who come in just to say lul u need an upgrade and expect funnies/agrees are just fucking dumb
What do you want us to tell him?
Oh you so stupid.
Why, because I can't find the nonexistant texture quality control? [editline]11:46PM[/editline] also I swear all you do is shitpost and flame people, leave that to the goldmembers.
Zombie Quality affects all the textures. Is this the hardest you've ever durped?
because a setting called "zombie quality" really speaks for itself.
OP would still be struggling to get more than 30 fps without any textures. DR2 is a very good "port" SR2 and GTA:IV were shitty console ports.
atleast GTAIV kept consistant framerates. Sure they rarely went higher than 40 but they never dropped below 30. atleast for me.
