Back at Caesar's camp:
"We have just received news that Vulpes Inculta took three mini nukes to the face and survived without a scratch!"
Caesar: "Excellent. Turning all of out top agents into children has made them IMMORTAL MUAAHAHAHA"
Can anyone suggest some Fallout New Vegas mods that make the game more fun to play? I'm talking about things like MMM, FWE, that kind of shit, but if you know any good mods that don't break immersion, please do tell.
GOD DAMN, every time I start a new character I always wind up wanting to make a new character halfway through the playthrough.
GOD DAMN, every time I start a new character I always wind up wanting to make a new character halfway through the playthrough.
every time I try to stick with the personality I give my character It always ends up being a super hero guy by level 20.
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, does luck not have anything to do with anything you ever do in Fallout 1? I made a character with 10 luck and I still get my ass kicked by every god damn piece of shit in the wasteland. with 10 luck I expected to get critical hits every other shot, I'VE GOTTEN ONE THIS WHOLE DAMN GAME.
WHAT THE FUCK DO I HAVE TO DO TO KILL THIS MOTHERFUCKER HARRY
FUCK YOU HARRY
AND FUCK EVERY OTHER MOTHERFUCKER IN NECROPOLIS

Use targeted shots - aim for the eyes/head. Boosts your critical chance quite high.
Or aim for the groin to knock him over and shoot him in the eyes while he's down.
On a completely unrelated note, how do you guys like my new avatar?
[editline]28th May 2011[/editline]
I think with Luck higher than 7 there's a chance that the Raiders mistake you for their leader's father.
Well damn it all. They really didn't design that section well at all, I mean what the fuck was I supposed to do? I just got through an ambush, some idiot shoots at me, and never having seen the difference between white legs and dead horses before, the natural instinct would be to shoot both.
fucking stupid. So I need to start all over again, don't I?
Yeah, the exact same thing happened to me. I killed Follows-Chalk, and got the quest to go find a map then leave Zion, at the end I got the credits and was all like. "Wut?"
Made a new character with 10 in Luck and went to Vegas.
Bet(betted?) 200 caps in the slot machine and got three lemons. Won 8.000 caps v:v:v and a combat armor.
Or you could check the radar to see he's a non-hostile, and he talks to you if you get close.
The problem with that is that it forces you to wait until his dumb ass sneaks up and kills the guy shooting at you. Until then, you just get shot at, and possibly killed.
My character has low perception as well, so I didn't even see the non hostile blip. I just shot the first guy from range and must of hit Chalk too, so it no longer mattered what the blip was before, because he turned hostile. I thought he was the leader of the raid.
Annyyway, I restarted and got lucky. I'm using the classic fallout weapon mod, and a guy from the caravan that had an assault rifle or something spawned with the FN FAL instead, the idiot Vault 22 guy had a p90c, and some of the ambushers either had a scorpio, .223 pistol, mp44, or the .45 SMG.
real lucky compared to the first time I played where I only got a winchester widowmaker and a .223 pistol.

What have they done to you, Vulpes!?
So I install Honest Hearts and get the god damn ED-E bug. Start a new game, get my Pip-Boy, crash. I try it with Vanilla New Vegas and no mods, crash.

This might be the stupidest question ever, but where the fuck does loyal hang out?
I'm trying to that Raul storytelling quest, and I can't fucking find the old fucker.
He's not in his house
he's not in the men's baracks.
I didn't see him in the hangers.
I even went as far as to check Pearl's house to see if he's fooling around with her.

10 luck is just 10% critical hit chance, last time I checked.
I need to get back into New Vegas, loved Fallout 3 but I can't seem to get into New Vegas.
Only played 27 hours :smith:
10% crit chance is still a shittonload, one in every 10 shots is going to seriously fuck shit up
I still love my Veronica.
The only reason I'm not getting her as my companion is because I'm scared she might die :ohdear:

Is this a common problem for anyone?
I have a habit of leaving my companions at home when I do DLC
since it was forced in f3 I guess I'm just used to doing it
of course, companions have a habit of fucking shit up, like walking directly into traps or screaming at the tops of their lungs when you're trying to be sneaky or standing in the narrow passageway you absolutely need to get through right now
The only reason I'm not getting her as my companion is because I'm scared she might die :ohdear:
Such is life in the Mojave Wasteland. Sometimes, things get too dangerous and people die. The only thing to do about it is accept it and move on.
(Unless they die because of the Stimpak/Poison bug, then just loot them, resurrect them, give them their shit back and call it good)

The resurrect command without a 1 leaves their inventory AFAIK.
if you use resurrect on someone everyone will still think they're dead
ie you kill mayor of town x, everyone is all sad and shit, you resurrect him and they'll still be like "rest in peace mayor man"
The only reason I'm not getting her as my companion is because I'm scared she might die :ohdear:
Veronica (or any companion for that matter) is very useful as a decoy. All the enemy's focus on killing her, thus enabling me to freely pick them off. It's a great relationship. :)
Btw companions don't die as far as I know, they just get knocked out.
Btw companions don't die as far as I know, they just get knocked out.
They can die on hardcore mode.
They can die on hardcore mode.
Argh, I read that in Coach McGurk's voice.
Companions do more harm than good in my opinion, maybe I just have bad luck but my companion AI always derps massively at some point or another. Come to think of it, I've had that problem with every gamebyro game, especially Morrowind.

Reason why: I don't wanna be nagged with dehydration and other things. From what I gathered it doesn't necessarily bring a sense of desperation and survival, but instead annoyance. Or at least I think so.
Call me a pussy, but it is just a game. I want to enjoy playing it.
10% crit chance is still a shittonload, one in every 10 shots is going to seriously fuck shit up
Well it doesn't. And I should know, because I HAVE 10 luck and it's more like 1 every 50 shots.

I think the same way. Ammo having weight is pretty neat as is companions being able to die, but the need for eating and drinking just gets annoying as fuck ESPECIALLY with New Vegas's timescale.
