i had to use a mod that removed the headsplode radio frequencies and changed the radroaches to baby molerats, though
I hope you didn't do that in your first playthrough of Dead Money, I would find that offensive.

/everything has to be played vanilla at least one time IMO
I only installed the Waster's scarf on my first run-through. Fellout makes the game looks so much better though.
Free Play After MQ.
I'm imagining that even if you were to let caesars legion win nothing would change. To do it right, at least all the NCR troopers would need to be changed by legion coutnerparts, or if mr. house wins all legionaries and NCR troopers would become securitrons. A bit too much for a modder to do, but for a team of developers it wouldn't take that long. Still though, even letting you play afterwards wouldn't correct the leveling issue. Man, this would all be so much easier if skills were like Fallout 2. 18 skills, and all go to 200% and tag skills make them level up faster. As it is now you hit level 30 and you've basically capped all of your skills since they use Oblivion style values. Maybe the dlcs could give you another head injury or give you some disease and set you back to level 1 with the corresponding skill penalties (but keep your perks) and when you leave the dlc you go back to normal. I suppose dead money gave you a bit of a challenge by removing your inventory.. but they never really gave you an opportunity to utilize or improve many of your skills.
/everything has to be played vanilla at least one time IMO
except for bugfix mods obviously. I personally don't mind aesthetic changes either (such as a different texture for the Assault Carbine or something) as long as they aren't retarded (see: Every Cass or Veronica mod on the Nexus)
I beat Fallout 3 when I was level 2 I set all of my stats to 100 and my special to 10 and gave myself the best weapons of the game but I still beat it on level 2
Argh! My game crashes the second I load my save! It was running fine last night... :frown: Well, now it does this: [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/wutdacarp.png[/img_thumb] ...then crashes.

Dead Money is pretty great when you hear a croaking, turn a corner, and a Ghost jumps at you. I've just activated the grand opening, and there are hundreds of them. I'm pretty screwed.
"oh, but I set the game to very easy and I cheated" Comon' man.
actually i was on normal hardcore but seriously i didn't have the choice there's that time when you have to go to the belltower with a long corridor of speakers, i didn't have enough science to turn them off so i just couldn't make it also because no matter what you say the speakers are and will always be the shittiest gameplay mechanic ever
I had a low science skill for my first playthrough and I made it to the belltower just fine. Hide in the corners of the hallways, theres always "safe zones"

Okay, Dead Money just went full retard on me. I [sp]killed Elijah, ran out of the vault, and nothing happens.[/sp] No ending, no completed quest. Even if I manually complete the quest in the console, no ending. Goddamnit.

Ok, I'm starting a new game in New Vegas as a Science-y smart person What are some super cool mods to get? I currently have FOOK, New Vegas Skies and Weapon modification expansion
I really hate the auto-save function in Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I were doing a quest for a long time, but i didn't have the time to rest nor did i find a door to another place that triggers the auto-save. When i died i realized i was about half an hour back in time. I raged and quit the game.
http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39217

Paypal won't let me buy Dead Money
Have you[sp]attempted to leave the Sierra Madre through the Villa front gates? The DLC doesn't end proper until you decide to start hoofing it back to Vegas territory.[/sp]
I feel dumb now. Thanks! [editline]5th March 2011[/editline] Also, I am in Vegas right now, and it's downright unsettling to see the Stratosphere Casino (the model for the Lucky 38) sticking up above the skyline.
I'm having a problem with New Vegas. I completed the Talent Pool quest but I never got the achievement for it, reloading a previous save and completing it again does nothing. How do I fix this? One occasion I remember opening the dev console by accident, does this have to do with me not getting my achievement? [editline]5th March 2011[/editline] Nevermind, I just restarted the game. While I was looking online I apparently read that opening the dev console once will disable any achievement progress for your current game session.
So, I finished dead money and here is my 2 cents. Fuck the collar bullshit, along with the cloud. Challenge does not mean that they limit you to shitty weapons Ghost pepole could have been stronger in my opinion, I expected fucking Highlanders Holograms are shit Run around and activate shit, with really basic puzzles:The DLC Overall it was pretty meh. No awesome loot either, story is decent, but it only hypes the other DLC where you fight with another courirer, Ulysses, who has been cut from the vanilla game. Fuck DLC. So yeah, this was pretty medicore, at the level between the Pitt and Anchorage. But it got me hyped for "The Divide"
Somewhat agree, for me the casino itself, some items and the characters were the best about it. To bad you can't keep the companions without mods, no regrets getting the DLC though.
I've been trying to play a mostly middleground throughout, but now I'm at the point where I have to choose who I'm gonna side with to run Vegas. Damn, in most games these kind of choices are laughably easy (good choice or evil choice), but this ones a toughie.

Fuck DLC.
The current version of Ulysses was never going to be in the original game. He was cut and re-purposed as an antagonist with a wildly different backstory. [editline];[/editline] I mean he was going to be a player aligned member of the legion, for god's sake.
Ulysses is a bitch for blocking my path with cars
