Logged onto New Vegas to finish up on Dead Money and when I went into my notes I realized I hadn't uninstalled my unfinished Enclave quest. I think I might go finish making that now :o
I kept having problems with the launcher crashing when I launch the game. I put both the launcher and the game .exes in compatibility mode for XP. That lets me launch the game but now Steam won't say I'm in-game when I'm playing. Any fixes?
This happened when i suicided then revived myself. :v:

Would anyone want a game set in the Fallout universe, years before the bombs were dropped? My idea is that you are an MIT grad invited by the government to work at a top secret research facility in the American southwest. It would be a boom town kind of similar to Area 51 and stereotypical 1950s era towns. You would see America in it's retro-futuristic prime. You would be able to fool around with all sorts of inventions, battle atomic monsters, and complete missions. The game would be a celebration of the 1950s era b movies and science fiction that seems to influence Fallout games so much.
I'd like it more if it was set right the fuck after shit hit the fan and the world got blown up.

Those people had no known Vaults, and many of them retained their "humanity".

I would like a game set during the Resource Wars with Britian feeling like it did during WW2.
Jim cummings was the Master, Whoah

Mexico city got bombed, but not much else in Mexico. Or so its sounds by what Raul talks about.

Still, Mexico city WAS bombed, and was also likely ravaged by blastwaves and nuclear fallout heavy enough to ghoulify, and that's enough in my book.

I was under the impression it was the radiation from the bombs that mutated animals to create all the fucked up little critters we have now. I suppose the research facility could have some but not to a large degree. Other than that I do like the idea
When was McCarran Music Radio last updated? If it has been.
Well atleast you´d have Deathclaws, Mole rats and probably Night Stalkers
So we get very strong, incredibly weak, and round about average enemies? Eh, I guess that works. It would be cool to see some Pre-War Characters like House or Raul in their hay-day. [editline]8th March 2011[/editline] Though unless the game was set in Mexico it'd be unlikely to see Raul :smith:
Deathclaws were genetically modified Jackson's Iguanas created by the US government prior to the war; specifically there were designed for combat in high-risk zones. Same goes for Wanamingos; they were FEV creations designed as weapons prior to 2077. Similarly Floaters were created through FEV research; although the ones circa-Fallout had been modified by the Master.

Other than that I do like the idea
Perhaps nuclear bomb testings out in the desert could mutate some of the wildlife. Or the local nuclear power plant could be leaking toxic waste into a local lake. Or perhaps the scientists are performing experiments that mutate animals. The whole game is influenced by cheesy b-movies and 1950s science fiction. You would have stuff fifty foot women, giant mantises, zombies, alien invaders, and communist fighting robots. Well, maybe it should be toned down a bit. Even the Fallout universe has some grounding in reality.
Do the "Lucky Old Sun" quest, and divert the power to the ARCHIMEDES 2 satellite. Don't fucking touch the ARCHIMEDES 1 thing unless you want to fuck the NCR up.
i did the quest ages ago and diverted the power to EVERYWHERE what do?

Seems I've encountered a glitch in Dead Money. All people at fountain yet Elijah doesn't believe me. Can't fire Dog/God, either.
There is a fix for it on the Nexus.
May a man request a link?
I've played trough NV a couple times vanilla now, but it gets kinda boring after a while. Anyone knows any good mods to spice up the gameplay?
