am I the only one who never uses the bloody mess perk? The novelty of bodies exploding into pile of red shit loses it's appeal very fast for me, and while the damage bonus is useful it's not worth the annoyance.
Me neither. Sometimes its handy for looting as somehow you can take a whole power armor for ones eyes
But mostly its just lame
Are there any simple modding guides out there that just cover the basics?
And I mean the basics, just things like editing weapon characteristics and things like that. No skinning, modeling, scripting, etc.

For Fallout 3 using the G.E.C.K. editor
Who the fuck is Abraham?

That prophet guy.
...what quest?
I mean that one Muslim prophet guy, in the game files as an easter egg or something.

Hmm. Cut Veronica 'loyalty' quest in the vein of Boone/ED-E/Raul etc? Right now the closest she has is the Elijah one, and that requires DLC.

But she has a loyalty quest, which is based on bringing new tech to the bunker. Maybe it's DLC content that's already in the game?

Fuck, I'd forgotten about that. Early draft maybe?
Yeah, that was my first thought, but she already has that Elijah DLC quest...and Abraham isn't mentioned in any of her dialogue already.

Probably like others said, a cut loyalty quest for Veronica. Notice how the other text options talk about entering a simulator and her asking what was on the message.

On reflection, I'd guess that it was an earlier version of the Elijah quest, except in this instance he left her a simulation tape explaining the situation. Only Courier Six has a Pip-Boy, so you would have had to enter the simulation, complete a quest, then inform Veronica afterwards.

The only reason I suggest that it is DLC content is that we're heading north in Honest Hearts...
Boone is a beast. Boone and I went to get the Remnants Power Armor in the Deathclaw Promontory and Boone killed at least half of the Deathclaws with his Super Sledge. Shit was so cash.
Legendary animals were all pretty dissapointing.
Cazador just floated around as i plasma caster'ed him/her
Deathclaw gave a decent challenge because he came with normal deathclaws
Fire Gecko and Night Stalker were both very meh

Why would you enter a simulation for the Burned Man?
downloading nvamp makes me want to kill myself,
they give you 70 esm files instead of 40 and they wont tell you how to install any of them properly
[editline]12th March 2011[/editline]
im giving up nvamp is a massive clusterfuck of different mods and wrye bash with little to no directions

Boone was the first companion I got, and I was disappointed thinking they don't ever really speak or comment on anything.
Then after trying out a few others I realised it's just Boone that doesn't like to talk, the others never shut up.
Im against using companions, because they are too strong.
Potential companion for you : ED-E.
Sucks shit, only useful for taking out slow/weak targets such as Bark Scorpions or Molerats.
Sustains damage easily when dealing with giant rats and mantises.
Good for carrying around heavy stuff, though.
If I want to do a clean install of New Vegas do I just delete the folder in the steamapps/common folder and then delete local content and reinstall?

IT is just idiots who put together a crap-load of mods, and made them compatible.
At least they can package it into one file right? NO they make you have to download all of them individually.
are there any mod packs that add to realism, guns, ai and improve graphics ? and are possible to install?
are there any mod packs that add to realism, guns, ai and improve graphics ? and are possible to install?
And now why would you want that in a stat based WFPSRPG?
Companions in FO3 and New Vegas never run out of ammo for their default weapons (although if you give them a better weapon that uses the same ammo as their default, you still need to give the ammo for it)
The game mechanics work like this.
Every companion who uses a projectile weapon (Arcade, Boone, Lily) usually has their name infront of the gun's name (Boone's scoped rifle, Lily's assault carbine) although Raul and Veronica don't. They all use ammo named in the GECK as "Magical companion ammo" which keeps regenerating in their inventory. In Hardcore mode, magical companion ammo weighs something like 0.00001lbs.

CFW is good for guns (72 new weapons) and Arwen's realism tweaks probably makes the game more realistic.

i mean its pretty stupid that it takes 10 shots to the head on an unarmored target to kill him

I believe there is a mod that makes headshots instant kills.
Who here is surprised that Obsidian is making story outta the DLC and not just new guns and perks and higher levels
Who here is surprised that Obsidian is making story outta the DLC and not just new guns and perks and higher levels
If you're implying Bethesda never did that, you're wrong. The Pitt was an awesome blend of a good story and new content all around.
If you're simply legitimately surprised with no implications, then I can't say I'm surprised myself as story-DLC has the most potential. I'm glad they're doing it though. Dead Money was quite good if not a bit repetitive. Way better than Beth's first DLC though.
That's my opinion

ED-E is only good as a packmule, he can hardly kill two ants
The battle music he plays is pretty good to get warned of nearby enemies though
I killed nearly everyone in megaton, sparing anyone who didn't have a gun, and specially Cromwell.
I love that preacher.

He's pretty useful if you completed ED-E my love and chose to give him to the Follower's. The upgrades are technically as follows; +5 DAM, +8 DPS, +0.5% crit chance and +15 crit damage.
Which is actually pretty good.
