Didn't sound like that's what you meant.
I treat boon like dirt, i shoot him hit him, put super-heavy shit on him and always favor rex over him.
i think of him as a life-less husk of a human being who's sole purpose in life is to serve as my mobile punching-bag with pockets to serve as my mobile house.
Every once in a while I just punch the shit out of him because god knows what else i'll do :v:
I love him though, wouldn't trade him for the world.

He probably has undying homosexual urges for you. In an extra-creepy Stockholm Syndrome sort of way.

This guy better not be hiring bodyguards IRL if he's just gonna beat the shit outta them.

Check your speaker settings and make sure they are set to the proper one. I had this problem before because mine was set to surround. This was on Realtek Audio Manager by the way.

Human companions are pack mules, dog, robot or mutant companions are BFFs.

Maybe you should start by buying the game.
Hey guys, I had an idea for a mod.
Armor crafting!
I found a couple like it on nexus, but they seem to do pointless shit or are overpowered.
Basic idea would be to make armor using a combination of repair/survival. Most animals would have a chance of dropping a Raw Hide (A replacement for standard Gecko Hides), which could be tanned and used to make armor. Say the basic recipe would be like this-
LEATHER ARMOR-
1 Scrap Metal
2 Leather Belts
5 Tanned Hides
1 Knife (Returned)
1 Scissors (Returned)
In addition-
LEATHER ARMOR, REINFORCED-
3 Scrap Metal
3 Leather Belts
6 Tanned Hides
1 Knife (Returned)
1 Scissors (Returned)
Sound pretty simple, right? Well, then we get into the OTHER recipes.
LEATHER DUSTER-
1 Leather Belt
8 Tanned Hides
1 Knife (Returned)
1 Scissors (Returned)
This would, effectively, be the Regulator duster for FO3. 8 DT, Maybe with some sort of bonus to speech/charisma. Still pretty standard/unnecessary, you say? WELL THERE IS MORE! NEW ITEMS!
Raw Deathclaw Hide
Raw Nightstalker Hide
What are these for? I'm going to show you! In addition to these, this mod would make the original Gold and Fire Gecko hides useful.
INFERNO LEATHER ARMOR-
1 Scrap Metal
2 Leather Belts
5 Tanned Fire Gecko Hides
1 Knife (Returned)
1 Scissors (Returned)
Due to using heat resistance fire gecko hides, this armor has 20% fire and energy resistance, on top of the slightly higher than standard 8 DT over the 6DT of Leather Armor.
SHINING LEATHER ARMOR-
1 Scrap Metal
2 Leather Belts
5 Tanned Golden Gecko Hides
1 Knife (Returned)
1 Scissors (Returned)
This armor is INCREDIBLE SNAZZY. Due to this fact, your impeccable fashion sense give you a DT of 8, AND a +1 to both CHR and LCK!
Now, what about those other hides I mentioned?
REAPER'S LEATHER ARMOR-
1 Scrap Metal
2 Leather Belts
5 Tanned Deathclaw Hides
1 Knife (NOT Returned)
1 Scissors (NOT Returned)
Well now, I guess you can imagine the hell you would have to go through to get this armor. While this armor gives a whopping 16 DT (!!!), it also gives you +1 to END, but this thing ain't pretty, giving a -3 to CHR. Also, due to the roughness of the Hide, you loose your scissors & knife.
GHOSTLY LEATHER ARMOR-
1 Scrap Metal
2 Leather Belts
5 Tanned Nightstalker Hides
1 Stealthboy
1 Knife (Returned)
1 Scissors (Returned)
In addition to a DT of 8, this ~~~SPOOOOKY~~~ suit of armor gives you a +10 bonus to stealth, and a weak stealth field while crouching.
Also, while on the subject of a armor crafting mod...
ARMOR REPAIR KIT-
1 Duct Tape
1 Tanned Hide
1 Leather Belt
1 Scrap Metal
1 Knife
1 Scissor
1 Turpentine
This would work just like the weapon repair kit. Repairs your currently equipped armor for 10-30% depending on your repair skill.
Of course, I'm only bringing this up because I've never messed with scripting in GECK, and that I am not an especially skilled texture maker. Anyone interested in doing something like this?

Scripting isn't really the same thing as coding. I could probably pull this off after fumbling enough with crafting recipes and such, but I wondered if someone who was more experienced would be interested.

No, ideas guys aren't liked when they're asking for a mod team to make their idea for free. He's just putting his ideas out there, and that's fine.
Hey guys, I had an idea for a mod.

I'd rather just have something that allowed me to fix any powerarmor with any powerarmor.
With the Jury Rigging perk you can repair Power Armors with lots of stuff, though you need to have a Repair skill of 90...
Today I was wandering around through the Mojave, doing what kids do to have fun these days. Collecting caps, cooking steaks, hunting Deathclaws at close range with an Anti-Materiel Rifle...
I casually passed by the abandoned Tribal Camp (or whatever was its name) and noticed something odd.
If you've never been to this place, I'll inform you that you'll find it full of Cazadores, and Khans' and Wastelanders' corpses, where the latter are marked as "burned body". Their skin is infact completely scorched.
This one was my second visit to this place, so I did not meet the nasty oversized wasps. But neither the corpses. I thought "well, bodies disappear after a while" and walked away. I noticed hostiles on my radar on the way back, so I pulled out my Garand and shot (by a nice distance) what appeared to be two hostile wastelanders, perhaps Vipers or Jackals. But why did their skin look so odd?
I walked up to the dead guys. They weren't marked as Wastelanders. Nor as Gang members.
They were the burned bodies. The game just pulled an unexpected, micro-sized zombie outbreak.

It's a error with the respawning code. Everyone at that camp is supposed to be dead, as a reference to All Roads. But, due to the respawning code, after you come there they start coming back to life every once in awhile.
Also, bring a shovel up the hill just south of camp. Chance's grave has Chance's Knife, the best knife in the game.
repair pulse gun with.. Tesla beaton cannon?
wrong.
[editline]25th March 2011[/editline]
Pulse gun is part of the laser pistol repair class.
Tesla-Beaton & the Tesla Cannon have no class due to being so unique- they are unnefected my the perk.

Also, I just beat Dead Wind Cavern for the first time.
This Machine + .308 JSP is ludicrous. when I got to the room mercy/the legendary deathclaw was in, I pulled it out. Sneak attack critical, now he's down to 2/3rds health. I que up three headshots in VATS to take out the normal death claw that was with him. I get 2 crits and he's dead. I unload my next 5 shots on the LD's legs, cripling the left one. After reloading, the maimed beast lumbers torwards me, with a broken leg and about 1/2 his health left. I pop a Slasher, and then pull out Knock-Knock.
Long story short? I am now in possetion of an oversized grenade machine gun, and there is 1 less legendary creature in the mojave.
