Pvt. Martin, your character reminds me of Three Dog slightly.
I'll probably need one or two people to test my unfinished (Fallout 3) mod quite soon. Just in case I've accidentally got anything referencing meshes and textures which only exist in some obscure directory for me (Outside of the one I have set up to .rar)
Right now there's a load of problems, unlinked/unfinished interiors, doors to nowhere, NPCs with no/broken dialogue, quests which barely do anything, no LOD etc. but I'd like some people just to point out the locations of any mesh/texture errors and places where there's holes in the scenery where objects aren't fully lined up (Or indeed overlapping and spazzing surfaces)
Oh and of course if it's compatible with their mods and if the difficulty of the 1 or 2 populated dungeons isn't buggered by my own mods.
I really wanna test your mod.
I could do it also.
Anyone know how to fix Fallout 1/2 on Windows 7 64-bit?

I think you might have to play them using a DOS emulator like DOSBox.

what's the problem?
what's the problem?
Probably the crazy color stuff. Just change the resolution to fix that.
if it's the messed up colours, there's a patch for it on the interwebs, and you DONT need DOSbox for it.

I remember getting a patch for it, I never thought of something that simple Flak

High Resolution Patch Should fix some compatibility issues. Otherwise, there's a guide to making Fallout work on 64-bit here, which should be applicable whether you're using the Restoration Project patch or not. (Hint: You should be!)

If the high res patch doesn't work try the latest version of sfall, fixed it for me and you can run it in a window.
Started a very successful game of fallout 2. Killed almost everyone in Den so far and have heaps of cash, chems and guns. Only downside is I'm addicted to jet.
Shot a slaver twice in the dick with a shotgun and Sulik beat him to death with a sledge while he was down from the pain.
Playing the 360 version of New Vegas, completely unpatched becasue I can't update it.
Wish me luck....
It's not that bad, apart from the occasional freeze-ups. Save often!
Also, I just saw the F2 screen. And suddenly have the urge to go and play it again.
So, I offered to test cheese's FO3 mod. Re-downloaded the game off Steam, loaded it and
Hi there, I'm Games for Fucking Windows Live!
Closed it, uninstalled GFWL (i seriously forgot about having it in the first place) and I'll try to look for a workaround. Fuck you, GFWL.
[editline]30th March 2011[/editline]
BADGER CUNT DICKS. Why won't this game run without Windows Live Assclownbullshit?
I bought it. On Steam. Which is already enough as a DRM and a way to talk with friends. I don't need a try-hard, looks-like-consolized-bullshit, buggy stupid thing running AT THE SAME TIME. FUCK.
Why not just sign in to Live?
If you use FOMM with FOSE then it disables Windows Live and you can just stick the DLC files in your FO3 folder to use like any other mod.

Yeah just use this. Or just use GFWL, the new GFWL is a lot better then it used to be.
GFWL doesn't look consolized. Well anymore.

Hmmm, forgot about that cute FOSE expedient... To the laboratory!

Haven't used, let alone updated, that thing in ages, so I was greeted by the old version, whom I really disliked.
And improved or not, I'm still mad over how it's obligatory, where I already have Steam to do the same job, only better.
i still can't run new vegas. i don't get it. fuck. time to try and remove every mod because i have nothing better to do
Got that shit working? Also do you have New Vegas script extender? I know some mods require it to be installed.
Alright me and some people are arguing that the Vietnam war and Rock music NEVER happened.
I'm saying yes it did due the timeline saying there's a divergence near the year 1969
He's saying nope never happened

Keeps telling me the Falloutw.exe isn't the right version or something.
Isn't there a porn star mod that literally a reference to Fallout 2 Golden Globes porn makers
Rate me late if you must, but I'd be willing to try out that New York mod of yours, cheesedelux. Haven't touched FO3 since I beat all the DLCs and side quests, so it would be nice to have a reason to play again, for a good cause.

Actually, everything apart from discovering microchips happened, there were guns from the 80's and 90's (H&K G11, H&K CAWS, Desert Eagle) in Fallout 2. Oh, and we can't forget about the Service Rifle (M16), the LMG (M249 AFAIK) and other guns manufactured after 50's making an appearance in New Vegas.

There are some on the Enclave Oil Rig. Other than that, you can do Lynette's quest (the one in which you have to deliver holodisks to Westin in the NCR) and get a G11 + some rounds. You can also do Sheriff Morton's "law enforcement" quest line - the final quest is killing Frog Morton, who has a fully loaded G11. There's also a stash of it in the Toxic Caves. Other than that, you have to buy it either from the San Francisco traders, or from Buster in NCR.

Holy fuck, I just realised how much do I know about Fallout 2. I think it's my favourite RPG ever.
Just gonna post some fan stuff in here

Devs admitted that they kinda ruined the retro style with all those modern guns.
LMG is a mix between M60 and PKM both which came before Seventies
And Service rifle is a AR-15
Marksman carbine and Assault Carbine are colt commandos

Nope nope nope. The Fallout Universe is one that never progressed, CULTURALLY, past the 1950s. That does indeed mean no 1960s/70s rock, as those grew out of social movements of the period (which, as I say, never happened).
Of course you'll see tech from later than the '50s, since the Great War didn't happen until well after 2000. But that was all affected by the 1950s culture--no microchips because people were still obsessed with nuclear power, etc. Nuclear powered cars, but they all have that bulbous, fin-laden 1950s style.

But they had Elvis, which was considered "rebellious" for the 50's. So, we could assume some youngsters still went ahead and made some rock music.
