Combat Armor? Pfft, I had LEATHER ARMOR. [editline]4th April 2011[/editline] Also, damn, I wish the Service Rifle was full auto. Or even better, burst fire. And who the hell thought that the Assault Carbine is going to use 5mm ammo? It's a goddamn Colt Commando, it should use 5.56! /rage [editline]4th April 2011[/editline] Ooh, and I did Raul's "companion quest" (not really a quest) yesterday. He's a goddamn killing machine right now.
Avenger Minigun + 5mm AP + Veronica = Too easy
I hope the next fallout isn't a MMO, I like fallout the way it is :3:
I hope the next fallout isn't a MMO, I like fallout the way it is :3:
Actually, it'd be nice to have at least ONE other person to play with, except they fill your companion slot so no companions with a friend on.
Sweet, got myself a Stradivarius violin in Fallout 3. ... It's not useful as a melee weapon and is definitely not tasty. WHAT DO.

Too late, I needed firewood.
Not made by Bethesda it's made by Obsidian.. All the weapons in Dead Money are OP because of the fundamentally poor execution of the NV DLCs. The new DLC is probably going to raise the level cap to 40 and all the weapons and enemies will be at such enormous levels that they'll make ranger veterans and legion centurions look like a bunch of pussies.
It'll be like the Albino Radscorpions all over again :ohdear: [editline]5th April 2011[/editline] Also, I seem to have contracted severe rad poisoning and can't be bothered to find a doctor. Survival expert here folks.
Buy RadAway from a wandering merchant.
I think I'll be able to man it out. Probably should have taken some RadX before walking around that irradiated town.
Buy RadAway from a wandering merchant.
And then brutally murder him.
So I decided to start playing New Vegas. Read some guides on the internet and decided to do a New Vegas medical clinic run. Afterwards I did some of the beginning quests, mainly Primm, and went over to New Vegas where I found Benny. I leave after getting assaulted by him, and I want to go back to the tops to check his suite. When I enter I guess the game decided to break the script where the counter guy says that he has to take your weps, and I can't move because of it. Autosave saved AFTER I enter the building, not before. Fuck that. 1 hour wasted. Literally. (maybe I can talk to Benny before I go into that suite though)
Open console, "enableplayercontrols"
Open console, "enableplayercontrols"
I'll try that, thanks.

In Fallout 1 & 2 5mm is basically a shortened version of 5.56, a miltary-grade carbine ammo.. sort of like our 5.7x28 round (ironic since the P90 in fallout 2 uses 10mm ammo..). A low energy, high velocity armor piercing round. Guess for explanations sake it's why all the fast firing weapons like the minigun and assault rifle use it. The assault rifle in Fallout 1 & 2 uses 5mm ammo, I think the Assault Carbine is sort of a reference to that.
I always use semi-auto weapons in New Vegas, with the exception of guns that fire 5mm because I feel like I'm wasting ammo if I use full-auto ones.

Still, couldn't they keep the F3 Assault Rifle and make it shoot 5mm? Why can't I use two guns?"(Or something like that, it's been a while since I played F2)
Holorifle confuses me. Kill ghost person, gets knocked out, shoot them again and their body goes flying around randomly
Co-op fallout would jizz my pants for me.

I didn't even read these threads until I'd done at least half of the side quests and all of the main quest (Yes Man path)
But half the fun is discovering things yourself...
I made the big mistake of spending time on the Fallout wiki while I still had to get New Vegas. By the time I got the game, I already knew a large share of things (including quests, map locations and so on). Boredom ensued. :saddowns:
I always use semi-auto weapons in New Vegas, with the exception of guns that fire 5mm because I feel like I'm wasting ammo if I use full-auto ones.
I don't use full auto weapons because they feel absolutely horrible to fire. The sound effects, the 'kick', the rate of fire, they all feel crap.
I treat every weapon like it's a semi auto.
I don't use full auto weapons because they feel absolutely horrible to fire. The sound effects, the 'kick', the rate of fire, they all feel crap.
Except, ironically, the Laser RCW. The kickback on it feels REALLY nice.
I know it's not the strongest, but the hunting rifle is my favorite weapon. It feels so satisfying to snipe something with it a mile away.
Trying to talk to Melissa for the Oh My Papa quest. I approached from the West and couldn't get there due to unscalable hillsides, the South was the same I think. Tried going from the West, fuckloads of Deathclaws I stand no chance against. Went along the road North out of Goodsprings to approach it from the North, Deathclaws there too. Is there any other way there? They're fucking impossible. One or two Young Deathclaws aren't bad, but even one of the large ones fucks me up.
What's the most irradiated place you guys have found? I just found that house with like +22 rads per second.
