ANTLER LIVES /c

I have a problem in which i go to Mick & Ralphs, i talk to Mick and ask to purchase some weapons, but the sales menu does not display, and it doesnt let me buy anything Is there a fix for this?
Boone won't talk to me anymore since I'm working with the Leigon. Can I change this through the console?
I think it would cause issues, since he's apparently scripted to hate the legion. Unless of course you want to switch sides.
[img_thumb]http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/7936/wacky.jpg[/img_thumb]
What is that, and why does it remind me of Invader Zim?
What is that, and why does it remind me of Invader Zim?
Johnny The homicidal maniac, and its drawn by the same guy that did invader zim.

Wack the fuck is wack with you, man?!

It's not nice to call people names.
Boone won't talk to me anymore since I'm working with the Leigon. Can I change this through the console?
At least thats a decent reason to be ignoring you. He won't talk to me because I picked the wrong option during the Quest at Novac :saddowns:
Boone isn't that great, Raul is far superior in the cool department with shades and a bandanna.
Ordered Fallout 3 GOTY Edition for PC the other day, i'm not getting New Vegas just from that fact that i don't want it. [editline]7th April 2011[/editline] Does it have that Games for Windows Live where you sign into your Xbox Account in a PC Game?

Fallout 3 = Oblivion with guns in fallout setting, not a canon sequel Fallout New Vegas = Actual Fallout 2 sequel, but first person and free roam :frogc00l: That said Fallout 3 is still a [del]good[/del] great game, but I think most people that played and liked Fallout 1 & 2 will agree that New Vegas is a better game. chief 343, you appear to be hitting the wrong rating

But F3's still canon. Seriously. It's not that bad. It's not like Tactics or Brotherhood of Steel. They at least half-assed attempted to keep it in the Fallout style

Fallout 3 is a good game on it's own, but it doesn't feel like a Fallout game.

I hope Fallout 4 (if there will be one) will "pick and choose" the canon aspects of fallout 3 and leave the rest behind. I could probably fill up an entire page with all the shit in Fallout 3 that was completely and utterly non-canon and went so far as to actually contradict fallout 1 & 2. [editline]8th April 2011[/editline]
I agree. Fallout 3 is a good game on it's own, but it doesn't feel like a Fallout game.
Yeah, it's not. It's more of a fallout spinoff like tactics or BOS. Fallout 3 is a faux-sequel and fallout spinoff, Fallout New Vegas is a Fallout 3 spinoff, but a Fallout 2 sequel. :irony:

There's this thing called opinions Ranger.
There's this thing called opinions Ranger.
I agree, but i can't STAND it when someone talks out of thier ass claiming fallout 3 is a "Spinoff" and isn't part of the series.
but i can't STAND it when someone talks out of thier ass claiming fallout 3 is a "Spinoff" and isn't part of the series.
It isn't. If the game has nothing to do with the previous game and doesn't get the story right and barely acknowledges the other games then it's not a fallout sequel. I don't care if you love the game or hate it. I've got like 300 hours on it so obviously I love it, but it's not really a sequel, it's just an open world game that's fallout-ish in general with a name that Zenimax bought. Bethesda weren't the original makers so it's not expected that they'd make the game like it was originally supposed to be, but just because they bought the title doesn't mean that they indefinitely define radical gameplay and story changes and define the game as a proper sequel, for that reason they shouldn't have had the audacity to call it fallout 3, they could have just called it Fallout: DC or something. New Vegas's story was written by the original writers of the previous games, much of Van Buren's characters, locations, factions and dialogue were salvaged, and the game design leaders in general had been part of black isle, which makes it a *true* sequel. Just that stuff aside, it's my opinion that New Vegas just has better gameplay, setting and story which makes it as better game to me. The map design in Fallout 3 was a bit better and more comprehensive, but that aside I just prefer New Vegas a lot more.

It is not a "spinoff".
In name only; which was really a mistake. The game really has nothing to do with fallout 1 & 2 at all. Calling it fallout 3 just seems very arrogant on Bethesda's part when they easily could have called it Fallout: DC or Fallout: Capital Wasteland. Its sort of like how Far Cry 2 was not like Far Cry in the slightest, though it was still a good game (in my opinion) except Far Cry's story was pretty superficial and nobody really cares about it.. but the story in the Fallout series is one of the main highlights of it.
Fallout NV just needs more enemies and more urban environments. That's what made Fallout 3 combat fun.
Fallout NV just needs more enemies and more urban environments. That's what made Fallout 3 combat fun.
I would have liked more emphasis on abstract environments. For instance, the sewers of New Vegas was such a good idea, but there was shit-all inside them except for part of a quest. There were no interesting people, there were no large underground settlements, etc. All in all despite being totally awesome, Fallout: NV could have used a few more months on the stove.. there were a lot of areas in the game that felt like they should have had more to them... more people to meet, more houses and more localized quests
Bethesda owns the rights, they own the canon V:v:V
Bethesda owns the rights, they own the canon V:v:V
They only own the rights to make 3 Fallout games, the whole "Fallout" thing still belongs to Black Isle.
They only own the rights to make 3 Fallout games, the whole "Fallout" thing still belongs to Black Isle.
No.
Reason i think why i like Fallout 3 is because i have never played Fallout 1 or 2, didn't really know about them at the time and didn't care to play them, i have that attitude of, "If i've never played that old game from the 90s before, to me it has shit graphics and i don't care about it" otherwise it's, "Yeah i used to play that game, in fact i still do every now and then" I'm not shitting on how graphics used to be, i still play on some PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Emulator Games like R-Type and what not, but if i never played it before in my life and someone says i should for their reason, i just don't bother regardless of how good they think it is, it's old and i won't enjoy it much. (Again, not picking at Graphics, don't think i am)
