From the dummied out stuff relating to him from the actual game, [sp]he's an America themed character; he fights with an "Eagle Flagpole" and his jacket is made out of a pre-war flag.[/sp]
[sp]More...Old World focused, I'd say. The 'Burning Man' is also likely to make an appearance in one of the DLCs.[/sp]

Already confirmed. It's Honest Hearts and takes place in New Canaan.

Aw, the idea of [sp]a bloke charging at you with a gold eagle on a stick seems more funny than awesome to me[/sp] :saddowns:

Well, [sp]Given his old world, seemingly pro-american image, maybe the remnants aren't the last of the Enclave. Also, why do the NCR award the Star of Sierre Madre to people? Seems odd, unless Sierre Madre has American modern-day connotations I don't know about.[/sp]
I think the DLC references are left in the game for us to find.

Not enclave, [sp]if anything, he's legion aligned due to his suit in the playing card pack.[/sp]
Gotta love having bought the CE, eh?

[sp]Ties up with the Honest Hearts DLC as well then. Awesome, it's nice to see Obsidian have gone to great lengths to tie the DLCs into an overarching story.[/sp]

Now we just have to connect [sp]New Canaan and the Big Empty/Tibbets prison and military facility...
Wait, those were both areas from Van Buren, weren't they?[/sp]
Oh boy the dlc just crashed on me for the first time
Saw this though:

I'm thinking Dr Who reference written on the wall there because gas masks

It has to be, surely? And Ray, [sp] I believe they were, yes. [/sp]
My friend said that [sp]you apparently can't return to the Sierra Madre after the DLC is completed.[/sp]
:saddowns: However, if I can figure out scripting, I'm gonna change the Vertibird for my player home so it will take me to the Sierra Madre once more! I'm also thinking of adding a 'universal interior' so that I can load up the Vertibird with loot, fly back to the Mojave, then carry it into the hangar's storage bay. :buddy:
Is it out for PSN?
So I bit the bullet and got it but I can't even play it. My game crashes every time the screen fades to black after gassing. Not even using any mods, I tried validating and restarting steam, still no dice. Anyone have any work arounds? All other people I've seen with this problem have all been ignored on other forums. (Namely, Steam and Beth hardware/software forums)
Edit: Fixed it by dropping all my shit before the event happens. The hell? Ugh, whatever. I'll go leave it all in my novac home and wish for the best.
Intelligence is by far one of the most important stats right?
Intelligence is by far one of the most important stats right?
Technically, yes. The higher your intelligence, the more skill points you get per level. Combined with the Educated perk it's pretty awesome.
Woah, found a awesome addition to my idea on TvTropes.
[sp]
The Showdown with Ulysses will involve a showdown between companions
Ulysses, as The Courier's counterpart has his own companions, some of which are counterparts to The Courier's own. Perhaps a rogue Paladin as Veronica's counterpart, a young hotshot gunslinger as Raul's, a former Legionaire Frumentarii as Boone's and others. The final confrontation at The Great Divide will not only be The Courier's showdown but ones for his/her companions.

Hmm... What would be for [sp]Rex and ED-E? A Vicious Dog/Robobrain and a Sentry Bot?[/sp]

[sp] Yes they were, Along with the Burned man himself! Hope he comes back as a companion, Fucking Invincible man who is stronger than a super mutant behomoth. [/sp]

[sp]A Mr. Gutsy and possibly a vicious dog? More like what would be for Lily?[/sp]

They announced another DLC, that somehow links to FO3.
:20bux: on [sp]The East coast BOS, or maybe fawkes.[/sp]

[sp]Her feral grandchildren, maybe? Being so young, they might not have taken well to the vats, and...[/sp]
Just played a bit. Those ghost people are really cool, I like their animations and design. The atmosphere is also quite awesome. Still not quite sure what's going on though.

Sierra Madre vault is said to contain treasure beyond your wildest dreams but NO ONE has ever made it to it because they're slaughtered by the Ghost People. Ghost People used to be normal people but the heavy radiation that used to surround Sierra Madre pretty much forced them to wear those suits all the time and eventually it fused to their bodies.
I don't want to say anymore because then it would be spoiling it (and also this isn't 100% accurate, I'm just saying what I can remember)
For whatever reason, it isn't showing up ingame so I'm restarting Steam to see if that fixes it.
Buying the DLC now. Fuck, how did this happen?
Going to need to buy the GOTY on disc a year from now :saddowns:

I think [sp]"The big empty" might be Area 51/ Edwards air force base. There's a huge flat dry white lake out there, may refer to the "big empty" portion"[/sp]

It's obviously going to be [sp]Uncle Leo[/sp]
I assume the foil of Lily Bowen would be a fellow (normal) Super Mutant who served with her in the Master's army. Instead of being rather nonchalant about it, said Super Mutant similar to Frank Horrigan, in that he would be an utter fanatic who does all the killing for the hell of it rather than to keep their sanity.
First time I wasn't tempted to read all those spoiler tags.
I'm really enjoying it. Though, it's a pain with Hardcore Mode and I still have some serious stuttering from what I think are some graphical mods doing serious work to the villa and making it beautiful.
Let's hope turning off those mods doesn't fuck my saves up too much.
Isn't Nellis Airforce base PART of Area 51
also a quote from Ulysses "The day I set my flag down, it'll be over my body or over a nation I believe in." How does that not sound badass as hell

"Are you My Mummy?"

Small Sierra Madre spoilers, that's Veronica by the way, you'll get it once you've finished the dlc.
I'm thinking of purchasing NV on steam, but before I make up my mind, have most of the bugs been patched yet? I heard this game had a stinking shitpile of glitches at launch.
