Just bought the original Fallout Games for a fiver. [editline]14th April 2011[/editline] I also got NV the other day. I loved Fallout 3 but I'm enjoying NV far more, it feels so much more fleshed out, and there's more to do. Like Hypno-Toad said a few pages ago, there's a lot less mindless killing. I've finished more Quests using interesting tactics through speech and exploration, and I've done far more scavenging for things to sell than I ever did before. Fallout 3 felt as though a lot of the Quests just ended in gun fights, and I grabbed a lot of shit I didn't need, meaning my inventory was almost always close to full. I still love Fallout 3 though.

God damn the companions in New Vegas are annoying at times. I was walking past the quarry to get to the lake [sp]the one with the crashed comber[/sp], and there is a ton of Deathclaws around there for some reason. ED-E, being the super advanced computer it is, decides to go start shit with them for no real reason. This happened multiple times, each one ending with my torso being separated from my groin.

God fuck I am stupid. Didn't want to kill the Brotherhood for the Render Unto Caesar quest (Veronica is too cool) so I thought I'd have a go at using the console. Set the 'Blow the Brotherhood Bunker' Objective to completed, without unlocking the next one. Thus Caesar's speech was forever locked onto asking me to do it, and I can't re add the quest :smith: Last save was 6 levels ago. I should save more.

Trying to sneak in a sewer or equally safe area with rats? Though luck she is going to go batshit insane and punch every single one of them, just because they noticed me. Though I must say she is a great help against Feral Roamers, they take far too long to shoot, it takes her about two punches, and detaches their head for me.

It seems nobody changes what type of weapons their companions use, or what state you want them to be in.

Too bad she didn't wear it. I gave her a Chainsaw instead. She sucks with it because by the time she goes to attack, the enemy she is fighting has pushed her back thus she misses. Super Sledge all the way.

But she seemed so much happier and more effective punching things into a bloody pool of death.

It looks like he ruined DarnUI by mixing it with that Anime one. Or a combination of multiple HUDs.

I bet my testicles the vast majority, if not all of those effects are faked via post production. On what do I base this claim? 1:26 watch the way those white boxes hover around the faces of the npcs. It follows no pattern and looks far to smooth too be gamebryo. In fact it looks exactly like hand tweened animation. Also when the pipboy is brought up the screen flickering looks to be suffering from the same sort of tweening. Looks like he has been able to detatch the camera movement from the aiming movement a la arma, and I don't doubt that some of those effects; such as the ssao and maybe even the god rays (maybe) are for real. But the rest? pshhhh

Is there anything out there to make the game less boring? I beat New Vegas, I have the freeplay mod yet I don't know what to do next.

My FO3 keeps CtD'ing.

Which is a shame, one of the worst things about FO3/NV is the horrible black overlay they give you with scoped weapons, it ruined the sniper rifle for me. The loading screens are faked too, and most of the other stuff looks easily achievable with enbseries/texture mods. I don't think enbseries does godrays though, they're either faked or there's been a port of OBGE for NV in the months I haven't been playing it. SSAO is definitely achievable with enbseries, though I envy his PC for playing wit with such a smooth framerate. Other than that he's just turned bloom/DOF to max. HUD looks alright, though he ruined the entire thing with his shitty whore character. These games have enough trouble with immersion without shit like that. I wish there was a quest where you could fly up and paint the moon pink and draw a Lenin face on it. Speaking of flying, what actually happens to the rockets that are launched from the REPCONN Test Site?

Well, they either crash, or fly. I remember hearing that if you didn't tamper with the rockets and make them crash, the ghouls come back and help out at the Hoover Dam battle.

If you do the Legion ending, the Ghouls come back to help Novac out in one last battle. If you let them crash, hordes of Ghouls overrun Novac and are swiftly eradicated by Legionnaires.
