Did you copy the sound files from FO3? If they're not in the NV folder, then I don't think the game would be able to load them.

I did but the thing is the voice of Lucas simms etc will not work when I engage in a conversation with them. But when I go near them they have voices.
I found a fix for the LOD problem.
http://filesmelt.com/dl/lodsettings.rar
make a folder named lodsettings put it in the NV data folder and place all the files in the rar into the lodsettings folder.

when i thought about trying this, i didn't think it would work so well.
it just needs some brushing up
Damn it. Am I the only one with Audio problems for the dialogues?
I've got a moral question:
[sp]I've been in the bunker upgrading the securitrons software, and talked to Mr. House. I've tried killing him, but the outcome wasn't very satifying, as he seems like he actually wants to do some good. Colonel Moore is a bitch, too, so I really don't want to help her either. I've thought about simply going solo with Yes Man, but well, that implies killing Mr. House, and the NCR is going to bitch nonetheless. What should I do? I give you guys total control, rate agree for just killing Mr. House fetch Yes Man and fuck the NCR, disagree for helping the NCR, and funny for helping Mr. House.[/sp]
All help is appreciated.
Capital Wasteland was much more interesting then the Mojave Desert.
@ GoDong - I think you should help out the NCR as much as you can, and then help out Mr. House.
And @ Paravin - I liked the atmosphere of the Capital Wasteland, but the Mohave just has a lot more things to do. The most you could do in the CW was kill some raiders or see a vault.
So has any DLC besides Dead Money made it's way out? Haven't been keeping up with the game.

Nope.

Some tidbits of Honest Hearts were leaked, so you can expect that one to come out sometime in the near future.
Any recommended quest mods, or just mods that add more stuff to do?
Just noticed one thing...
In the first Fallout, if you kill the Overseer he loses an arm and a leg and tries to crawl away, but then his head breaks and he finally bleeds to death.

In Broken Steel, when Liberty Prime gets bombed, he loses an arm and his legs and tries to crawl away, but then his head breaks and he bleeds oil to death.

Coincidence? Small homage?
People noticed that when Broken Steel was released, I think Bethesda said it is a reference to it or something. I can't be bothered to hunt down a quote to back that up right now though :v:

''Can we run now daddy?''
legs are way too small, it looks more like a cartoon character than something threatening.
Looks like the feral ghoul equivalent of a charger from L4D2

Seems like most people wants to help Mr. House out, but he's so cold and shit...
This is what I like with Fallout NV, in comparison to Fallout 3. In Fallout 3 you could always just go guns blazing, and you didn't really feel any morale, but in Fallout NV, I actually care about Moore being a bitch, House being a cold shitstain [sp](who happened to save New Vegas, and being totally awesome in some way)[/sp]. I really think they dug deeper into the story, and making a picture of the persons, whereas in F03, you could see a clear line between the good and the bad.

I think pure bad in NV was Caesar legion winning with [sp]Lanius leading[/sp]
Which is weird since there is no pure good ending.

Haven't actually played the game through yet, as first time, the game started crashing like a dick (from the title, I guess I'm not the only one), and I couldn't bothered finding a save some years back (I roamed around doing random shit for a long time) that wouldn't crash every second or two. I built a new computer some 2 weeks ago, so I've started playing again, and while it has crashed two - three times, it hasn't bothered me, as I've learned to save any second now. I don't really play much considering I use so much time on my computer, but I really enjoy this game, and though there is a flaw here and there ([sp]Even though it's realistic that the NCR wouldn't like me helping Mr. House or myself, I've helped them with so much that I really can't see why "Don't tread on the bear" should come in, unless I've shot Kimball of some other important dude[/sp]), I enjoy it since the personalities are round and fullfilling instead of flat and not really that important. The fact that there is so much backstory is nice, too, and Mr. House is very interesting as he has a "good" side and a "bad" one instead of being like the Enclave leader in FO3.

The closest thing to 'Pure Good' is NCR, since their victory at the damn allows the most 'good' endings to occur in the other ending slides.

[sp]shame what happens to goodsprings though.[/sp]

[sp]I guess. Although the town generally prospers, despite taxation. The House & Legion endings are far worse though.[/sp]
You know the one that has a good ending for every faction, except for the obvious ones that lose anyway you play?
It's a big secret, no-one really knows about the "best ending" path..
[sp]yes man, but you didn't hear it from me[/sp]
Well, now I'm depressed.
Since I did that Fallout 3 Vegas conversion thing, both games have fucked up.
Fallout 3 was experiencing the same sound glitch that plagued Fallout 3 Vegas, ie they talked when you spoke to them, but not when you go near them. I ended up having to reinstall it and now I can't even go past Dukov's Place or the Central Metro without it crashing every. damn. time. I only have a fraction of the mods I had before. (EVE, Pipboy readius, unofficial fallout patch, FOSE).
I had decided I needed to delete everything in New Vegas' data folder, save the New Vegas BSAs, the .esm and .esm and BSAs of Dead Money. While I'm about 15GB lighter (how the fuck did I manage that), New Vegas won't even launch. Fuck.
Thanks a lot Facepunch, you and your stupid ideas this is all you fault.

Try verifying the cache.
I thought I was doing extremely well to be killing Deathclaws at the Quarry with a .44 Magnum and boone on the side on Very Hard. Turned out the game had gone back to Normal difficulty. Pumped it back to Very Hard and oh fuck these things won't die.
Also, completed Dead Money. Wasn't all as interesting until I got to the casino, but the amount of money I got.
Got myself banned at the casino it's self, went home with around 105000 caps worth of Pre-war money. Vendors gonna bankrupt.
I just can't bring myself to side with the Legion, it's not because they want to enslave everybody or end the world or whatever their crazy plan is - it's just that when you first see the Legion they are a bunch of arrogant dicks, and I just beat them to death. Usually, this results in them hating me.
