So it'll be a backstory of that guy who failed Caesar?

Christ, what does it take to kill that guy?
Apparently 12 nukes and a Deathclaw Mother.
Patch notes were released for Monday's patch http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Xporc/New_Vegas_patch_for_PC_on_Monday,_weapons_tweaks shit I'm going to have to uninstall all of the mods that modify weapons until they update after the patch :saddowns:
Well well, looks like the Burned Man -is- alive after all. Christ, what does it take to kill that guy?
I would assume the vacuum of space could do it. But I'm not entirely sure, those bandages sure do look airtight.
Hell yeah. That Gun will now have some use rather than be a prop in my suite.
I modded the fuck out of all the weapons and armor in the game, but I may actually disable that mod to try out the new patch.
Hell yeah. That Gun will now have some use rather than be a prop in my suite.
Don't suppose they plan on getting rid of the gun's stupid name too?
Don't suppose they plan on getting rid of the gun's stupid name too?
Woah woah woah. Don't start shit with the name. What the fuck else would we refer to it as? people as what killed someone for example; "Hey, that looks like quite a large entry hole, what shot him?" "That gun" "Ohhh, that gun!"
Obsidian thinks a lot bigger than Gamebryo can display.
That's what all the invisible walls are for.
Bastard shit dicks I am stupid. Formatted without backing up my saves, lost my three completed games. No way am I doing Dead Money again :smith:
Ah well, too bad they never got Steam Cloud turned back on.
I've always wondered why they didn't make Vegas bigger. They could have added a fuckton of interesting places and made it a fairly large place, but instead they just make it a couple different settlements and the strip with three gambling houses. It's not like they would have run out of room, because they could've just used the metric fuckton of unused space behind the Divide.
So i tried out New Vegas but i just can't seem to understand what i'm supposed to be doing.
It's a free roaming game. Do what you want to do. Help whom you want to help, etc. [editline]23rd April 2011[/editline] There is also a main quest line, if you follow that to the end you "win" the game
So i tried out New Vegas but i just can't seem to understand what i'm supposed to be doing.
Shoot Legion when you see them.
To me, it's to messy compared to Fallout 3, i just can't get my head around everything.
I remember when I walked into Nipton for the first time, I had my .357 I robbed out of the Bar in Goodsprings, a cowboy hat off of a dead power ganger, and a Merc Troublemaker Outfit. Big Iron started playing right as I walked in. Felt western as fuck for some reason... THEN EVERYTHING WAS ON FIRE AND FULL OF FUCK THE END.
To me, it's to messy compared to Fallout 3, i just can't get my head around everything.
Thats because Fallout 3 held your hand throughout the whole game, New Vegas just plops you in there and goes "have at it", like it should be.
So i tried out New Vegas but i just can't seem to understand what i'm supposed to be doing.
Do whatever, explore, follow the main quest, ask for work and shit around goodsprings, anything. It's not some corridor shooter that makes you do one thing sweetie pie
Yeah i would rather the game hold my hand.
Yeah i would rather the game hold my hand.
Then this isn't the game for you really, I'm afraid :v: Might wanna go back to the CoD thread if that's the game you're looking for.
Yeah, wanting a game to hold my hand means i should fuck off to Call of Duty.
He means to say that an RPG is not the type of game to hold your hand, unless it's one of those Bioware RPGs. If you're looking for something that's not challenging, then play a game that holds your hand. (Call of Duty in his case.)
I have so many NPC mods that the whole area west of Camp McCaren is a warzone. [editline]23rd April 2011[/editline] There's a mod on the new vegas nexus that helps with the whole capital wasteland in new vegas thing : http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41480
Yeah i would rather the game hold my hand.
I think you're overthinking too much and missing the big picture of the game and are too worried about what gameplay direction you're going in. You never have to think about much in New Vegas at all, that's the charm of it, you can basically play the game in whatever manner you want and the game will make way for you. Just make a character with a unique personality and play by the rules that such a person would play by. This makes the whole thing a lot more fun. Make some money (steal shit, loot shit) and then set off on the path to find Benny. Take the game slow, there's no rush. Do quests along the way for XP and rewards, if you kill bandits be sure to pick them clean for loot. Just remember that there's no ultimate goal to the game (though there is a main quest) the game is basically a wasteland, and it drops you into it. Do what you want and play as what you want or as you would. If you want a goal, go track down benny (thats what I did on my first playthrough).

I guess... I didn't try it, nor am I trying the whole New Vegas Capital Wasteland thing. I saw that others were talking about it earlier so I decided I should help anyway I can.
You are exactly right. I'm this playthrough I wanted to feel like a post apocalyptic scavenger. Roaming the wastes and struggling to survive. I think I came pretty close.
Help? Boone goes upside down and his weapon goes way far back whenever I go into vats.
