It concentrated on the most banal aspect of the game, the combat. The loot you get out of it is good, but it being so heavily combat focused is more than enough reason for me to hate it.
In my opinion, Broken Steel was the best DLC for Fallout 3.
Point Lookout would have been better if the new baddies weren't just harder because they had forty times the hitpoints of anything reasonable.
Same went for the ghouls in Broken Steel actually, but less so.

In controls there's a button labeled "Device". Click it.

Are you making all those yourself? If so, daaaaaammmmnnnnn.

nope, that was point lookout
nope, that was point lookout
As someone mentioned, the only downside was the obscene health the enemies had for no real reason. They were unarmoured, had fairly shit weapons themselves, yet could tear through the T51-b(t-45? I can't remember) like no tomorrow. The actual area and plotline was pretty cool.

Love this DLC just for axe and how fun it was.
I would of liked The Pitt for FO3 if they gave you a decent chunk of city to explore, like the size of Point lookout's swamp was.
My probably with the pitt was that I couldn't get all the ingots because every time i went onto the steel roof near the top of the ingot area, i would fall through the map.
I usually hate stuff like that but I found looking for all the ingots to be quite fun.
Completed the game again but this time with the Indepentant ending with most things going well. I've changed my usual order of doing things, usually I do the minor faction quests first but next time I'm going to do the companion quests first (except Arcade's).

Also, why did the [sp]Enclave Remnants[/sp] attack me and ED-E? Was it because I was "against" the NCR?

yes, it was
yes, it was
Aww, why does nobody want me to take over New Vegas? At least Yes-Man loves me...
I think I've discovered the main difference between Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas (or at least the difference for me). Fallout 3 is a better sandbox game while Fallout New Vegas is a better RPG.
This may no be the place to ask this but what other games are there like Fallout 3/NV in terms of gameplay excluding Oblivion? Or heck, whats a good FPS in general or for people who've hardly played any before?
Actually I would say The Pitt was probably the best made DLC. The whole thing just felt so foreign, with all the yellow, Point Lookout was just like the Capital Wasteland with all its brown.
And the Auto Axe was cool.

you hit on that perfectly.

Yeah, was interesting, because the moral choices depend entirely on perspective. The ingot hunting was fun as shit, it added lots of new weapons to the game, and the quests were all really fun and original. Wish there would have been a little bit more city to explore, though.

I think there were too many ingots though but I still loved being tossed out there with just an auto-axe and an ammoless .32 revolver that may or may not have been shoved up my arse.

Ingots were easy to find, I find them all by myself within like an hour of seriously searching. The gear you got from them was cool as shit, perforator

I would like that gun more if it had a stock, to me it looks rather ridiculous without one.
I always missed like 5 ingots.
Although it was pointless getting all 100 because you can just kill Ashur and get his power armour and its better than the one you get for getting all 100 ingots.
It's in point form because i am lazy
>At fence between Sloan and Hidden Valley
>Decide to piss off some Bark Scorpions
>Only one left its just behind a rock
>Go into VATS and see "Deathclaw Alpha Male"
>NOPE
>It starts walking back to the town
>I hear Boone take out his rifle and mutter some witty remark
>Gunshot whizzes past my head
>Deathclaw turns around and runs full speed at me
>I barely take out my revolver before i die after one swipe
>Boone is standing in the background holstering his gun while my head flies off
>FUCKING BOONE
My Fallout NV updated 256.3 mb. Update or my Steam is playing with me?
So I just beat Dead money and I can say that was the best and most Challenging DLC I've ever played.
Tough the Ghost people weren't that scary really the only scary thing were the noises the hologram's made when they were pissed off.
But when I returned to the Mojave Wasteland I looked around the bunker and looked back through my adventure.....I truly felt haunted by what I experience at the Sierra Madre. The Ghost people, the Holograms, the past's of the members, the beautiful voice work and writing. I felt that going back to the Mojave wouldn't be the same for me. But as I walked towards the ladder to exit the bunker, I thought that the hard part of this DLC wasn't getting to the Madre...
...It's letting go.

Hearing the hologram noise made me shit myself.
Seeing them walk towards me even more so.

Especially when you have that bug where you can't open the gates to the exit!

Deus Ex, of course.
Because of course an 11-year-old FPSRPG with a difficult learning curve and a completely alien targeting system should be someone's first FPS.
Don't get me wrong, I love Deus Ex, but I think there might be a better Baby's First FPS.

It's not like my first ever, EVER FPS. It's just that I've almost completely ignored the genre. My first FPS was Goldeneye 64 when it was new but I was mostly too scared to play the single player because I didn't want to get blind-sided, if that's a word... Since then I've only played COD MW and MW2 for the Wii and 360 respectively.
[sp]Incoming dumbs because I played MW2.[/sp]
