It's not like my first ever, EVER FPS. It's just that I've almost completely ignored the genre. My first FPS was Goldeneye 64 when it was new but I was mostly too scared to play the single player because I didn't want to get blind-sided, if that's a word... Since then I've only played COD MW and MW2 for the Wii and 360 respectively. [sp]Incoming dumbs because I played MW2.[/sp]
I have nearly 500 hours on MW2.
Right now I feel like a genius and a moron at the same time, it never occured to me to simply bring the console downstair, take the ethernet cable out of the wireless router and plug that into the 360 so I can connect to live to patch the game.
Point Lookout would have been better if the new baddies weren't just harder because they had forty times the hitpoints of anything reasonable. Same went for the ghouls in Broken Steel actually, but less so. Also: Grand Central Terminal: http://i.imgur.com/dS7M8.jpg The cowering town of Big Apple: http://i.imgur.com/pQJC7.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Hdp4u.jpg Stuff: http://i.imgur.com/KytTZ.jpg
It looks very good. Are you planning to have the islands in NYC. It might be cool to see Coney Island as a Vegas-like paradise. Also are you making your mod just on one part of New York like Brooklyn, Manhatten, or the Bronx? I am quite intrigued by it.

Still it's just a mod, so he doesn't have to follow lore I guess.
It's likely going to just be Manhattan, although I was considering having maybe one quest take you to another area of the city, possibly Rikers Island prison. Here's a thread in the practically abandoned Fallout 3 Mod section of the Bethsoft Forums: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1186046-wip-the-disgrace-of-liberty/ And I do plan on keeping lore-friendly as much as I can. At least in that I'll try not to conflict with anything established, and I'm almost certain New York City is known to have been completely fucked up so there's nowhere nice and intact.
i laugh at anyone who didn't [sp]save everyone in dead money[/sp] seeing as it gives you information about the next dlcs
What mods would some of you recommend in general? Started playing again, this time just cramming it fulls of mods to mess around with. Not really looking for any super goofy ones, just stuff to enhance the game some, new weapons, armors and the like.

Fucking about with outfits, came up with this I call it "Battlehardened Vault Dweller" [editline]7th May 2011[/editline] Also, Anyone know why Im reloading at near-light speed
What gun are you using?
all of them
What's your agility, and do you have any reloading/gun equip perks/traits?
My "master plan" would be a lot better if I knew how to work Xbox Live and my mother wasn't trying to watch the TV...
What's your agility, and do you have any reloading/gun equip perks/traits?
Agility is 10 but I shouldn't reload any gun within 0.5 seconds
Agility affects reload speed.
I wonder why the tailor maid mod didn't include a leather jacket, I'd think it would be easy to just take it from the Kings outfits.
Because the Tailor Maid mod is a port of the Fallout 3 version.
I don't suppose anybody knows of a map of Manhattan Island with the locations of subway lines (Not just stations) marked on the ground level map? I want to be painfully accurate as to where access to stations via caved in sections or maintenance doors would be in relation to Washington Square Park and (Oh man would this sound suspicious without context) the Metropolitan Correctional Center. I plan on [del]blowing them up[/del] [del]orchestrating a breakout[/del] including both as key areas in the mod and would prefer not to have to make vast areas of approach road and car park for the prison before the closest subway stations.
-snip, I have to get another ethernet cable tomorrow-
So, is Dead Money worth it?
We've been over this several times in the last few pages for some reason. A lot of people say yes, but others were disappointed for various reasons. In my opinion it's definitely worth the money for another several hour (6 maybe) long quest line.
Some Honest Hearts and Old World Blues gameplay scenes. Full episode will be uploaded when psn will be on.
So, is Dead Money worth it?
I can't say that I regret buying it, but you may just want to wait until there's some sort of "goty" and you can get all the dlcs at once for cheap. That'd be the smart thing to do, anyways. Dead money is good but it's a bit short and linear for 10 bucks. The combined gameplay of all the dlcs would probably be worth a good 30-40 bucks though, so getting them all in a goty is a good deal.
i laugh at anyone who didn't [sp]save everyone in dead money[/sp] seeing as it gives you information about the next dlcs
Hey it's hard [sp]not breaking Dean Domino's ego. Just one tiny hair trigger on his ego then he stabs you in the back later on.[/sp]
Same goes for [sp]Not pissing off Christine. Certain skill/perk check dialogue options make her want to murder you more[/sp] [sp]I'd Imagine God/Dog is less open to diplomacy if you let Dog 'out' at all.[/sp]
[sp]I avoided dog at all costs, only speaking to God, no trouble at all with him. I have everyone still alive in there. Except for Elijah, that fucker deserved it[/sp]
Just completed "Legend of the Star" and a valuable lesson was learnt. [sp]Don't fuck with Festus.[/sp]
Because the Tailor Maid mod is a port of the Fallout 3 version.
Then they could get it from the tunnel snakes outfit, couldn't they? EDIT: but then it wouldn't show up in NV unless the model was still in the NV files.....
