Yeah, ReCoded is going to the normal DS, a new one is coming to the 3DS.
I can't even see 3D effects... :sigh:
I read somewhere that 5% of people can't see 3D effects for one reason or another.
Fuck nintendo why they put final fantasy on the 3DS and not Golden Sun Golden sun is better than every Final Fantasy
brofist golden sun was the best handheld rpg ever made.
Sorry for bumping the thread, but They explained how the 3DS's 3D works: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/08/12/the-3dss-glasses-free-3d-explained/
I'll wait for the nintendo fanboy up the road to get one before I make any decisions.
What if I have a third eye?
4d

[release]Jeff, a reader has left a comment on the blog in regards to the release date for the 3DS. He writes that: “The computers for Gamestop have added the Nintendo 3DS in the system now, along with 18 games and 14 accessories listed as available for taking pre-orders on September 29th. They also have a listed a shipping date of November 22nd. (Since postal services are out on weekends, the Nov 20/2010 Sat is the most logical release date, as the orders would be delivered on Monday the 22nd).” With all the signs pointing towards a November 20th release date, I’d be very surprised if it doesn’t come to fruition. It also seems like we could be getting a worldwide launch. Or, at least a launch in all the major regions within a short time frame. How does this 3D work with no glasses?
Goddamnit still no GBA slot. Seriously, if it had a GBA slot it would be so much better.
It is glasses-less 3D but it has a very small "sweet-spot" but it can be enabled and disabled on the fly
Goddamnit still no GBA slot. Seriously, if it had a GBA slot it would be so much better.
Seriously, this is like whining about no 16-Bit compatibility in 64-Bit OSes.
It if doesn't cost too much, I'll get one. Mother, fucking, 3D. And don't forget, the DS is well known for homebrew.
I hope rumours of Sony's PSP2 is true, and I hope it's a totally new device like the 3Ds, I wan't to know about the PSP2 first but I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be far more powerful likes the PSP is to the NDS, then again It might be less powerful...or around the same
how does the 3D work goddamnit
I am going to buy one.
how does the 3D work goddamnit
From a guess it's the same as this picture.. It simply jitters side to side faster than you can notice.
i don't see any jittering just a still image of a dinosaur

Also stop complaining about no GBA slot, go buy a GBA on ebay or some shit for like $10.
o o \ / \ / \ / _ ||
A little weird in the formatting, but here's the gist of it. The ( o ) is one of your eyes. The parallax barrier ( _ ) covers one of the sets of pixels ( | ) from one eyes point of view ( / or \ ), whereas the other can see the other set. Your mind interprets these two (slightly) different images and it gives the illusion of depth. This is the reason why it isn't used in regular 3d tvs, the effect relies on the positioning of your eyes and has a very limited viewing angle and distance.
I can't wait to get this. There's so many games that I want to get for it, namely MGS3. I'm also hoping that ATLUS puts Persona 3 and 4 onto it, it's fully capable and it would be amazing. I've gotta start saving pronto.
I really wanna try Animal Crossing and LoZ.
I would get it just for Metal Gear solid, legend of zelda ocarina of time, and pokemon black/white
I'm getting it mainly for MGS3, Animal Crossing, LOZ, Pokemanz, and all the good stuff like Phoenix Wright 3D.
The actual hardware specifications have been released.
IGN has learned that the Nintendo 3DS will pack not one, but two 266MHz ARM11 CPUs, along with a 133MHz GPU (PICA 200), 4MBs of dedicated VRAM, 64MBs of RAM, and 1.5GBs of flash storage. Additional storage can be expanded through the SD slot. http://gear.ign.com/articles/112/1122613p1.html
That's pretty decent.
Could have been much better with a bit more vram and a Nvidya Tegra. And 10 arm 200s
