Also, the browser on the 3DS apparently supports hoping in and out of a game, meaning that you can pause the game, go browse for something and go right back into the action. Kinda like the Steam browser. Nice

I just read that the 3DS will have automatic firmware updates. Sounds good at first, but as it seems you won't have the option on doing manuall updates at all :sigh:

It will be quite a problem for homebrew applications. And what happens if Nintendo puts out an update that renders the device basicly unusable?
I can see this to be a good thing for people who don't care, but I for myself would like to decide if I want to update or not.

you would have to be fucking retarded to buy a 3ds i guarantee 3rd party games will be shitfest and nintendo will just do the usual recycling 10 year old games rather than create anything new (already proven that this is there strategy with remakes of mario kart, star fox, animal crossing, and Ocarina of Time)
not to mention there will be multiple hardware revisions so anyone who buys it on launch ends up with an inferior device, if you want to play games in 3d imo you should just buy a 120hz monitor a decent nvidia gpu (or two so you still get a decent framerate) and a pair of shutter glasses
